终于把总结们发上来了
今天原先计划任务是，三篇阅读+分析，三篇听力+精听一篇lecture，一篇独写和一篇综合，还有词汇过一半
但是白天两节课，加早上刚回学校，只利用起了下午2个小时和晚上的时间，哎哎
不过还好还好，听力完成一篇对话和lecture+听第二遍，就是没时间精听了，明天打算听写今天的lecture
阅读完成两篇，正确率直线下滑，以至于强迫自己做了两个小时的原文对照加总结
完成了一篇tpo6的综写，阅读内容和听力内容都还算清晰，没有照听力原文对，晚上回来的时候就没时间了，写完教室木有人了，哎哎
词汇看了三分之一，看到最后走神了就开始做阅读了。
早睡早起，新的一天~~~睡前把单词刷完，yeah~~~

Some people think that a university professor should focus time on doing research; while others think that the main role of a professor is to educate students in a university.

What is the main role of a professor, to focus time on doing research or educating students? Obviously, some people support the latter one, a view that may ignore many practical problems. While I can not agree with it for the following reasons that with the focus on research, professor can attain more grants to support the development of the whole university. However, it’s a duty for them to educate students and guide them through the course. But this not necessary to exclude the justification of creating a circumstance in which students could be able to gain more research experience. Plus, it also allows professors to understand their field better.

When it comes to the university, high quality research will result in publications in prestigious academic journals and raise the school’s reputation world-wide. It would attract more high quality students, so that there would be a good study atmosphere. Additionally, more educated teacher or professors would come, and then, the university would provide more technical products or something that are creative to social community.

To students, focusing time on research would allow professors to involve students in their research, so that those students would have more opportunities to connect classroom learning to world outside, which means they are more able to combine theories and applications. It also helps them dig out their interests, or maybe even improve their interests of study. In this case, they are able to know if they are fit in this field, or if they have talents in it. However, some people may argue that basic knowledge is more important, which would require a good teacher to guide them or inspire their thoughts, ideas and feelings. Though it makes sense in some case, but those people ignore that the abilities of self-study and self-discipline are far-reaching to students’ future life. They encourage students’ independence, and independent children are always valuable role models to others.

Finally, to professors themselves, focusing time on doing research leads professors to learn about their fields with deeper insights. With such deeper knowledge, they can be better teachers. Doing research also means they have more opportunities to invent cutting-edge products, and then achieve patents and punish papers. Thereby, they would gain more respect from others and raise their own reputation in their fields. However, it not means educating students could be overlooked. Students’ educating is the basic of a university, and we should pay high attention to it certainly. A professor is a good guider of students, but the main role of a professor is a researcher, who should try their best to make great contribution to the society and support the development of the society.

Whether people now are easier to become educated than in the past? Obviously, some people support the view that people in the past are easier to become educated. While, I can not agree with it for the following reasons that with the development of the internet, people have more opportunities to get in touch with different fields, and know more about outside world. However, it’s true that people in the past have no such pressure, like work competition, in this case, they could learn something in their daily life, that means they could combine theories to application well. But this nor necessary to exclude the justification of creating an open circumstance in which people could have more communication and get overall information on the website. Plus, nowadays, more and more people could afford training, while in the past, maybe people also could not afford food to eat or a house to live in.

We should admit that, with the development of the country, people pay more attention to education. For example, many parents teach their child variety language when they are just babies, since babies are easier to accept a new language, and learn well. And parents are trying to cultivate their children’s interests in different fields, thus, they are required to learn more when they are young. What’s more, as we know, the tuition fee is very high in the university, but, parents are willing to afford it for children’s further study. When it comes to the school, it also makes sense. It equips good-educated teachers, who can guide students well. And also the equipments used in the education are improved, students can study in a multi-media class, which is more lively and concrete, while in the past, students could only absorbed in knowledge from books.

In addition, nowadays studying online is more and more popular, there are many advantages. Second, if you want to take a class, which you are especially interested in, but it is not in your school, or even not in the city you lived in, a distance educating is the best choice for you. In addition, it is more convenient to acquire knowledge online, you just click on the screen that people in the past would feel unbelievable. With the electronic products, people could read e-book, which pay less money or even free, and also it is more convenient, you can read it wherever you are.

However, some people would prefer the traditional or printed books, but it also requires more money, people in the past have less recourse and the cost is too high.
