What should be taught in universities is afrequent topic of discussion when the competition of employment is increasinglydramatic.


Obviously,how to acquire knowledge plays asignificant role when we intend to find a job and the acquiring knowledgefreely encourages students to think independently.More specifically,universitystudents are expected to utilize their creativities from which they will benefitin their work.Furthermore,figuring out how to get knowledge allows us to developa general abilities which will fix numerous problems.For instance,a businessmanwho runs a company cannot only rely on the knowledge of how to produce a highquantity commodity but also how to introduce their product to their clientssuccessfully.In other words,although our major knowledge may be valid to someextent,we need more than static knowledge if we want to get a betterperformance in our work.So,in sum,it’s more vital to know “how” rather than toknow “what”.


Admittedly,specific professional knowledgeis essential to our work,just as a doctor cannot operate a surgery without theknowledge of surgery and an attorney cannot defend for his or her clientwithout the knowledge of laws.And it is knowledge that have edge over otherswho never attend colleges.However,undeniably,knowledge,taught during the yearswhen we were college students,is limited.And at the same time,what aptitude oursociery indeed need is changing with the development of technology andeconomy.E.g.,the ways of exchanging information
dramatically vary in 21th century from that in19th century,and we need students to know the knowledge of computerbecause of the booming of IT.Overalll,knowledge ony can assist us to solve apart of assignments in our work at present while the knowledge is altering allthe time.


In conclusion,I’m side with that collegestudents should be taught the way to get knowledge because we need to expandwhat we know to correspond with the contemporary world.
