Extended debate concerning the exact point of origin of individual folktales told by Afro-American slaves has unfortunately taken precedence over analysis of the tales’ meaning and function. Cultural continuities with Africa were not dependent on importation and perpetuation of specific folktales in their pristine form. It is in the place that tales occupied in the lives of the slaves and in the meaning slaves derived from them that the clearest resemblances to African tradition can be found. Afro-American slaves did not borrow tales indiscriminately from the Whites among whom they lived. Black people were most influenced by those Euro-American tales whose functional meaning and aesthetic appeal had the greatest similarity to the tales with deep roots in their ancestral homeland. Regardless of where slave tales came from, the essential point is that, with respect to language, delivery, details of characterization, and plot, slaves quickly made them their own.

我觉得这句话”It is in the place that tales occupied in the lives of the slaves and in the meaning slaves derived from them that the clearest resemblances to African tradition can be found.“应该是解题点。
但这个句子有点不好理解，但大概意思就是强调folktales确实来源于African的日常生活，以及Africa确是最能体现tradition的地方。
以上是个人理解。。

大哥，indiscriminate 跟 place 有什么关系
indiscriminate不是difference
是不假思索的意思，任意的，随意的
indiscriminate 和 discriminate意思没太大关系

解题点同2楼    不过个人理解那两句话是说黑人文化传承不在于folktales的形式，而是由于folktales在黑人们生活中的重要性，以及从这些folktales的意义衍生得到的一些非洲老祖先的东西吧。   所以选D  给孩子讲故事正是黑人们日常生活中很重要的事情，以这些故事的意义来教育孩子嘛      B文中没涉及啊    没理解楼主逻辑哦。。。。。。。  以上纯个人理解    请指正

我的短文章经验：
除了段首尾和结论句 其他句子从句不管只读句子主干
题目定位的话非结论句答案在本句或下句句子主干中
这样做半分钟不到就很容易看见很扎眼的 African tradition
（例如那句我看下来就是It is the place At can be found）
然后挨个找African  tradition的转述。。

回2L：这破句子从句内容没必要也没时间去纠缠

我的方法是长阅读除了段首尾，只读句子主谓
比如某段读法应该是：
Psychohistory does not merely use psychological explanations in historical contexts.
Historians used... But pragmatic use is not what psychohistorians intend.(转折要读).
They are...This precludes... It denies.. And it violates..
Psychohistorians are also conviced that thiers is the deepest explanation of any event.
每段搞清楚意图（陈述？反对？赞成？），比如上段知道了陈述了一个关于P的事情（+）
强调一下，段首尾是必须读懂的，不懂的话一定不要做题！句子特别难就找主谓宾，立马会清晰许多

老G的方法会教你标记，看三强词，机考不现实也没有那么多时间标记考点，扫词一眼望过去看不见要看的东西又无端增加紧张感不推荐
读段首尾再想一下每段主旨就差不多要耗掉1分半，没有那么多时间给你分析考点的，而且文章中间的分析很专业，要读懂不可能
对于基础不是特别牛又怕到了考场慌的不知道干啥的人还是推荐我这个笨方法罢

至于EXCEPT题我一律蒙（要蒙那个像的，参见花儿阅读错误项设置），总之我的观点是除非想拿高分，细节题果断skip
否则耽误了后面的拿分题又影响了心情就傻了

5# camsword 感谢了，我写出个人理解也是为了更好地说明这个题。如果在考场做题当然没那么多时间琢磨具体意思，大概意思或key word能解题就OK了
但你关于长阅读的方法 可能有点不适用新G，据331的童鞋说细节题很多，题目套路和36套出入略大，如果照你方法放弃细节题，可能对整体分数有影响

细节题只要能定位就好做，提干里一般有四大金刚，四大金刚在文章里一眼看过去还是很扎眼的
没有四大金刚的细节题我也没有更好的办法，说了我这方法只能保证考的不会太搓
