157.There is no such thing as purely objective observation. All observation is subjective; it is always guided by the observer's expectations or desires.

Although I concede that when we observe, we cannot completely escape being affected by our subjective factors, I think it is a sophistry to assert that all observation is subjective and are always guided by our wills.

Admittedly, many non-objective factors will function in our observation. Different people observing the same thing may reach various conclusions considering their individual variance coming from a number of reasons such as the environments where they live, the academic backgrounds, the experiences and their emotional inclinations. For example, watching the selfsame rainy sky, an ordinary person, that is without any artistical training, finds the color is grey; whereas a professional painter may notice the subtle gradation of colors from maize, dark yellow to grey. Similarly, a Chinese traditional therapist may explain the syndrome of the same patient most differently from that of a doctor trained in western medicine. More often, our observations are shaped by our feelings. An ambiguous foul of the adversary team in a football match can be immediately picked out by the frenetic audience though they may not be so sure of what they have observed.  

However, none of these will sway our volition to pursue the real facts. Actually, we have for long been exerting to adjust our observation to the objective track. This is especially true in the scientific studies. It is a principle to scientists around the world that any scientific experimental result cannot be acknowledged until the experiment is done by several other authoritative institutions with the same result. This tenet effectively helps avoid any subjectivity in the experiment and assure that the result is an objective one. Our stickiness to objectivity can also be demonstrated in the business field. The International Standardization Organization, for example, sets up a series of standards, both in productive industry and service industry, aiming at offering a standardized and objective way to evaluate the enterprises in the market. By applying the standards, we may no longer be colored by the subjective words depicting the situation of the companies.

In sum, since each individual is different and sees things differently, we may not expect an absolute absence of subjectivity in observations. However it is unfair to draw the conclusion as the statement says that all observations are subjective for our ceaseless effort on chasing factuality. Therefore, I would like to say that our observations could be objective.

这篇也没写过，先把个人意见发表一下，给你提供一下反面意见。
我觉得观察就是主观的，在科学实验中也是如此，同样的现象不同的科学家根据他们不同的知识背景和角度，以及期望信仰偏见，往往得出截然相反的解释，例子很多。但是通过不停的实验验证推论，主观的观察结果是可以无限接近客观世界地。但是只要是观察就必然带有个人主观色彩，因为观察的结果必然是要得出什么结论或者对这个现象的解释，这种解释必然渗透自己个人的理解。

对于科学实验，我基本想表达的就是ilse的那个意思：发现是可以客观的，科学实验在经过不同机构、人员及其他客观条件下 操作后仍一致，这个结果就是客观的。

我引ISO-9000的例子也是一样，一个人的评价或少数人的评价都会偏颇，但经过标准化的评定过程后，经多人评定结果一致的话，那这个结果也是客观的。

我觉得发现是发现，解释是解释，这是任何研究中都有的两个过程。虽然有人把二合为一，并把他的解释当成发现本身，但这证明他本身的研究步骤有误。

但是，当然，观察也是因人而异的，就是你所说的人们水平、背景不同拉。。。什么的

写的时候最好不把“解释”这个问题写出来，要不然会搀和乱的。
