剑5test3task1
The graph shown here is a map of the town of Garlsdon. Two candidate locations (S) for a planned supermarket for the town are indicated in the graph.
The town center of Garlsdon is surrounded by the housing zone, which is cycled by the countryside. And two industry zones locate at the southern and northern part of Garlston Town respectively. A railway runs through the town, dividing it into two parts. Three other towns, Hindon、Bransdon and Cransdon are connected to Garlsdon by three main roads respectively.
At the northwest part of the town lies the first proposed site for the supermarket, locating in the countryside, far away from the town center and housing zone. The second candidate site lies in the center of the town, surrounded by the housing zone, near the railway and the two main roads leading to Bransdon and Cransdon respectively.
So, the second proposed site for the supermarket is more accessible than the first one. Therefore it's more convenient to local residents, and railway and main roads passengers. The town council would be well-advised to choose the S2 candidate location for supermarket construction.
