Collegesor universities should offer more courses to prepare students for the futurebefore they start working. Agree or disagree?
There is a debate inour society about whether students are supposed to accept more courses fromschool for the future before they begin to work. Before I state my answer, Iwould like to highlight the value of work first, which largely influences theidea of education we receive. In my opinion, work is not only the foundation ofpersonal life but also of the national development as a whole. No matter whatkinds of achievements you want to pursue, you must work as long as you hope tofeed yourself well. With this in mind, I strongly agree that more practical coursesin various fields, which bring plenty of opportunities in career choice,skilled practice and intellectual development, will favour students in future.

First of all, theperiod of study in colleges or universities is known as the gold time forlearning. Because compared to people who have started working, teenagers at thistime have a large number of great advantages such as good memory, creativityalong with abundant spare time. If schools teach several courses, the studentswill understand knowledge effectively and efficiently.（ For instance,my ）friend Candy, working in a large law firm, told me that she had no timeand energy to improve her （proficiency in ）foreign language which is essential to her work. Secondly, morecourses lead to more choices. It is hard for us to determine our lifetime careerdirection when we are young. As a result, various courses in different fieldscan provide students opportunities to inspire their interests. Take my brotherRoss, who is a psychological doctor(medical?) intern at present, for an example.His major was financial engineering at the beginning but he changed his mindafter talking with teachers in social work class which specialized at theskills in psychology area. This is the course that lights his career path. Bythe way, he is so satisfied with his work now.
Furthermore, skills,students prepare in school, can strength their competitiveness. The fast speedof social development enhances the standard of employer’s capability. Multi-skilledapplicants can draw attentions from more companies than the normal ones.Thinking of this, we should make enough preparations （with ）the help fromuniversities.
It is worthmentioning that offering more courses for students’ future is a growingphenomenon and many schools begin to teach courses such as the art ofcommunication in work.
