Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Your job has more effect on your happiness than your social life does.

  In the modern society which is full of competitions, most of the citizens spend more time in working than before. In this case, whether social activities or working experience have more effect on individual’s enjoyment is a hot topic among the public. Some people argues that a satisfied job can bring about a valuable life and financial stability. However, does this mean that the most portion of enjoyment arise from working? I don’t think so.
  Admittedly, a good job will produce a lot of pleasure for us. For one thing, we can receive the sense of achievement in our profession. Every hard-working engineer is glad to see that their production is widely used in the society. For another, one can gain money by working hard. With the enough money, you can live in bigger house and fancy cars, all of which will bring you happiness. Nevertheless, when the impact of social life on happiness is taken into consideration, the advantage of job satisfaction can be negligible.
  Firstly, the healthy friendship is the source of happiness. No matter how tough time you are enduing, you can always find a reason to laugh when you have friends accompanied. Playing basketball, singing, dancing or just drinking all night with your friends, all of these can make you delighted and relaxed, and then you can relieve your pressure and unhappiness. Besides, you will get more delighted when you share your happiness with your friends. Because your friends will be proud of you, when they hear you make an achievement of your job or just do pretty well in the last term final examinations.
  Secondly, it will be excruciating if you have a bad relationship with your relatives, especially your spouse and children. For instance, some middle-aged entrepreneurs are extremely successful in their career, however, they are totally losers in their family. His wife constantly has quarrel with him, because he seldom comes back home. Although his son have already been able to say some simple words, he never say ‘father’, since his ‘father’ seems unfamiliar to him. In this case, even more working gratification cannot counteract the despair emotion from home.
  All in all, it is undeniable that one can gain mental and material enjoyment from job, but job gratification can never replace the pleasure arising from the healthy social life. Therefore, social activities is supposed to have more impact on individual’s happiness.
