暂时抛开本题的具体意思，我很无聊的考证了一下，发现这个叫Stockhauen(题目里面的名字可能拼错了)的人可能是一个德国作曲家- Karlheinz Stockausen

介绍里面用了one of the most important, controversial, great visionaries, ground_breaking work和eschew traditional forms来形容他和他的作品。
并的确提到他卒于心脏病突发，于2007年去世于德国的家中。所以第一空选die。

但，基于考试时不允许上网查资料，我们只能从题干提取信息。我觉得第一空robin说的没错，后面的内容是提示了前面的这个case还存在，perhaps是一个让步，即可能这个对于唱片来说仅仅只是它的一个case，在这个case里面前所未有的音乐经验没有随着Stockhausuen死去而消失，暗含"可能对于唱片来说仅仅只是记录了该作曲家的experimentalism"，而题目的后半部分则指出了该case所表现的foray into前卫产生了unsettling的影响。正因为他存在所以后面才能是lead 一个conclusion。反观，come full circle和culminate都是存在的意思，否定他们的存在，后面就没办法退出结论。并且create a unprecedented sound one也提示了前面的uncharted sonic landscape是没有随着Stockhausen而消失的。

there is nothing more than its case的意思是S这个人是一种experimentalism的代表，但是这种experimentalism并没有在S这个人身上终结。 后面Or开始这句话一直在讲 experimentalism的一种表现，你看Or后面的its必须明白这个指代什么。显然就是 experimentalism, b并且 foray he dubbed sophomoric很贬义的指明这种experimentalism的影响

1、有一句idiom“there is more to it than meets the eye"（事情并非表面看上去那么简单），那这里的there is nothing more to the album than the case..."应该是说”这张唱片的意义仅仅在于说明了...这一情况“。2、Experimentalism这里的意思好像不是通常说的经验主义，而特指音乐中的实验性创新（以Stockhausen为代表，如thronehz筒子的考证）http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Experimentalism3、我理解，前一句说这唱片意义不大，仅表明了还有人在做实验性音乐；后一句让了一步说它可能也有另一意义：唱片做出了一些半吊子的前卫尝试，并让听众不安地意识到”要想创造前所未有的声音就不能有能让人听出来的调子“，实际上这第二个”意义“是对唱片更辛辣的讽刺，说里面的音乐杂乱无调。

这道题的第一空为什么不能选culminate with呢？该词有两个意思：

to climax in something; to end with something.

culminate with是有to end with的含义，比如the party culminated with her song.但这种用法中也仍然无法忽略to climax in sth.这一层含义。总体感觉，culminate with可以理解成“以……为高潮”或“结束于……的高潮”。
