224 "Censorship is rarely, if ever, justified."

There is a very strange phenomena in the history that people are rarely seen the emergence of censorship except in some special situations. As we know, different people deal with this phenomena differently due to their perspectives on this issue. In my view, I agree that censorship can make the society become more justified, and is necessary. The reasons will be presented in the following writing.
First of all, although censorship rarely emerges, it is documented by the nation’s constitution. At normal time, the nation cannot use the censorship because if the nation plans to carry out it, this action will have a deep and great influence upon all kinds of aspects in the society, even on the public. Except this effect, the action also indicates that the contradictions of the polity, or economy and other aspects have got to a degree, in which if not moderate it through carrying out the censorship, it will be greatly shocked by the contradictions. For instance, recently, America has carried out a censorship aiming at the war of Iraq which has give rise to a great hatred and commotion among public who are against the war. Although the government is not willing to carry it in that once the censorship is under application, it is possible that their action of creating the war of Iraq is not lawful and the leader will go out of the authority, under the great pressure coming from the public and the international, the government has no choice but to carry it out. At last, the result of the carrying out the censorship is to legislate more strict procedures of admission of a war. From it, the censorship is seldom carried out in nations, but once it emerges, it can bring a moderation to the severe contradictions.
In addition, in some case, the censorship is necessary. Except the function of make the severe contradiction become moderate, there are other advantages of carrying it. On the one hand, censorship can correct the mistakes or fallacies made by the government in a lawful manner which has been written in the constitution. This action is very important for the government to establish its good image among the public and further make people understand that their government is a democratic agents and worthy of trust. On the other hand, censorship carried out is based on the consideration of people’s interests, so we have enough faith to think that every censorship carried out will means a progress of nation’s development and democracy. For example, China, a developing country, due to the mistake and fallacies made on the road of reform, recently carried out the censorship aiming at the institution of the private property which caused a big hatred among individuals and eventually china amends it through more concrete institutions of protecting individual’s belongs. Therefore, the censorship is necessary, even rarely.
To sum up, based on the explanation formulated above, the statement that censorship is necessary and has positive function is worth of trust. With the development of the society and the democracy, we have the faith that censorship will become a effective way to solve social problem and people will get benefits from it.
