The number of people who watch foreign films is much more than people who watch local films, describ the reasons and should the government provide financial support to the local film industries?


Watching films is a most common relaxing activity in my country. Whenever my roommates have spare time, the first choices to kill time is finding some movie that seems interested or was prized high by other people and enjoy the time. There lies a very eye-catching phenomenon. That is the times we watch local movies are much less than these we watch foreign movies.

In my opinion, the reason for this case is very obviously, The first point we should take into consider is the quantity, In China there are very few local movie compared with the foreign movie that you almost can find a new film in one or two months, while if you wait for a Chinese interest movie, you should spend 7 months. The country interchange is the most important reason. After internet providing the whole world's movie, people have the chances to choose movies with good quality. While a very upset information is most Chinese movie is boring and meaningless. Without any doubt, Chinese would like to watch foreign movie than to watch local move.  

For this embarrassing phenomenon, some people may give some suggestion like government should put more support money in this industry, while I do not think so. There are many urgent problems in China which worth more attention than this case, for example， the life quality of the poor area and the pollution problem. And considering that movie industry still make a lot of money, and the problem of this is not only the problem of financial, so I do not think  should give the precious money to support movie.
