To: "Brewster, Madeline Marie" <madeline_brewster@brown.edu>
Greetings,
Ms. Zheng’s case is undergoing administrative processing.
Some visa applications require further administrative processing, which takes additional time after an interview with a consular officer. Applicants are advised of this possibility during their interview. Most administrative processing is resolved within 3-4 weeks of a visa interview, but may take several months. When additional administrative processing is required, the length of processing time will vary based on the circumstances of each case which cannot be “speed up” or “expedited.” Applicants are reminded to apply early for their visa, well in advance of their anticipated date of travel.
