拖延症严重患者第一次写Argument第一题，憋了好久好久，跪求指点拍砖！！爱你们！

书在教室没带回来，so就不写题目啦，我写的是woven baskets那个~，direction是evidence~
真的是第一次写，憋了一整个晚上，还是在借助模板的情况下，写得很不好，请大家多多指点下，我真的好怕好怕AW啊啊啊，谢谢大家了！！跪~


憋死算数的Argu上场了，请大家做好吐槽准备~




    In this argument, the author concludes that the prehistoric Woven baskets were not distinctly palean. To substantiate this conclusion the arguerpoints out that the basket was discovered in Lithos, an ancient village across a river named Brim from Palean. Although this argument seems reasonable at the first glance, it is in fact ill-convinced. The reasons are stated as follows.
    The threshold problem on which the argument relies is that Woven baskets were brought to Litos only by means of boats. Although it is entirely possible, the arguer offers no evidence to support this crucial assumption. Perhaps the basket just be carried through flowing on the surface of the river. Or, perhaps there was a flash flood which brought the basket to the Lithos. Accordingly, the author’s reasoning is definitely flawed unless he/she can convince me that these and other possible evidences are unlikely.
    Even assuming Woven basket arrived at Lithos only by boats, the second flaw that weaks the logic of this argument is that the author assumes the Brim River is still in the middle of Palean and Lithos at different ages. Nevertheless, there is no guarantee that it is the necessarily case and does not supply any evidence to confirm this assumption. It is quite possible that the Brim Rvier has already disappeared, especially since a considerable period of time has passed since the basket was made out. Furthermore, even the river still here, the arguer fails to consider possible changes about the river, it might not as deep and broad as today, and people can across it easily to Lithos by foot. In short, without better evidence ruling out these and other alternative explanations, the author cannot bolster the assumption.
    A third weakness, building upon the implication that the river was there, is that the author just simply assumes no Palean boats have been discovered and neither any conclusive scientific evidence nor anecdotal evidence is provided to substantiate this assumption. It is might because of limited knowledge and technology make us have not found the boat so far. Additionally, the people of Palean across the river can not only by boat but also by rafts or other implements. So the author must explain either none of these alternatives is available or why none of them is able to sustain.
    In conclusion, to convince me that Woven basket are not exclusively Palean, the author must supply clear evidence or further investigation that the basket is brought to Lithos only by water and there is no difference about the Brim River after such a long time gone to eliminate all other possible explanations.
