怎么是不负责呢，他都拒绝了两个football team的offer来专心做public service，肯定是正向词

我貌似懂了，football president就是做public service的，类似足协主席，是吧……
我理解成“找我们足球队的教练/负责人”

我觉得看第一句话although就行了，不看后面的一大串话。

可是“known for his carefree flag football games”，这里的known是指声誉卓著还是臭名昭著并不知道啊
表示不知道carefree flag football games是什么。。。

relegate一般指降级吧

carefree是褒义词吧。所以我觉得前面是夸他。
