112、should young children spend more og thier time on school studies or playing?
From my perspective, young children should spend most of their time on playing. This is because childhood is the happiest time period in a person’s life. Indeed, carefree as childhood should be, it is best time for play, enjoy and  establishing a beautiful memory for the future.

To begin with, playing is a good way to build up children’s character. Take paper cutting, a traditional Chinese art, for example, children who are good at playing paper cutting are much more patient and careful than their contemporaries because paper cutting requires attentiveness, patience and planning. Those who are engaged in paper cutting shall be very careful, because they may cut their own figures in case of carelessness. Patience is another requirement for successful paper cutters since many paper cutting require hours to finish, which is a definitely formidable challenge for children. As for planning, it is an intricate overall process that incorporates where to start paper cutting, how to implement and finish the whiole paper cutting process. Children may become more patient and careful after they acquired paper cutting skill. What’s more, develop a good habit is easy during the childhood, these habits will benefit a child’s whole life.

In addition, children can learn a lot of knowledge during their leisure time. For instance, when they are playing with pets, they can know the living habits of pets and the importance of protecting animals. They’ll learn consciously and unconsciously that pet dogs are more loyal than pet cats but pet cats are more independent than pet dogs. If they spend some time open their sense of channel to nature, they will find nature is much more impressive than book knowledge that they gain from textbooks in the narrow and confined school classrooms. What’s more, some concepts about life happiness are very abstract. I maintain that the best explanation for those abstract notions lies in nature. Playing, touching, feeling is the best ways to open their channels of senses to the surrounding nature.

What’s more, childhood is the most unforgettable time period in our life. As children grow up, they begin to be plagued by frustrations, disappointment,  and bewilderment. All these might frighten away adults but not innocent but fearless children. Thus childhood is a valuable fortune for an adult. As adults and parents, they should give their children a scruple-free childhood, helping children build up beautiful memories of their childhood days. Later on, when grown-up children are in trouble, childhood memories will give them the strength and bravery to face the elements. No children will enjoy a childhood full of homework and exercises. On the contrary,they will remember a childhood teemed with games and laughters. So it is sensible for children spend more time on playing.

In conclusion, I hold the opinion that young children should spend most of their time on playing. On one hand, formal education is vital to children as it can shape an individual into a civilized, responsible and socially acceptable citizen. On the other hand, playing is the source of knowledge in the sense that playing offers children chances of understanding nature, which might become beautiful memories when they grow up. Therefore, playing is much more important than study in childhood days.
