Issue 11: All nations should help support the development of a global university designed to engage students in the process of solving the world’s most persistent social problems.

Some people suggest that the nations all over the world should help establish a university which can solve the persistent problems of contemporary society. This statement seems soundly, but we should consider the possibility of it.

The chief problem is that we are not assuring that a university can work out the most important problems. Basic to any understanding of this is the functions of university. Students attend university to get knowledge. There they can adopt information, increase their responsibility of the society, and most important they learn to become a real man. Nevertheless, we have no sufficient evidence that the university can solve the problems which cause crises in our world, and whether or not that to build a university is the most effective way to rule out the problems has not been well supported. Those countries who cost money or do other helps for the global university must take great expectation that it can worth the value. In fact, there are nomourse means to get solution for our global town, which may became more economical. Take meetings for example. in many fields of science or art, there will hold a lot of conventions every year. Exports from all over the world discuss the problem which most of them concerned. To establish a group which the members share the same benefit will also work.

Admittedly, what are the world’s most persistent social problems is difficult to definite. Different countries face different problems, so it is a staggering task to balance the need of all notions. Nowadays, the developing countries suffer from the depression of economic, so they will expect the university can take much vigorous to do research of economic problems. Meanwhile, the developed countries have been punished by the environment which has been polluted without the considerable development of economics, and they must wholeheartedly support the environment projects. As a result, students or professors come from different nations and have different background will have different opinions with what they will do. What will the university to research as the most important task? Who is authority enough to make the decision? All of these should take consideration.

In addition, if the university had been established, the language which used by students and professors to communicate is difficult to decide. Every person will tend to use their own words, and even though it maybe exist a wrong understanding of others` expression and differences of culture among the stuffs of the university.

Taking into account all these factors, it is difficult to build a global university which may do useful solution for the society. Furthermore, to develop it is not a easy task.

比前两篇好了许多，不过还是有不少问题。

1 第一段中说建一个世界性的大学不能解决问题。可是明显这一段论据不足。
Nevertheless, we have no sufficient evidence that the university can solve the problems which cause crises in our world
好像就这么一句话说到了没有足够的证据。但我觉得这还不够。

2 第二段中所讲的发展中国家和发达国家所面临的问题不对，甚至是颠倒了过来。事实是：
大多数发达国家面临经济停滞甚至衰退，比如日本；而很多的发展中国家去不惜以环境的代价来换取经济的发展，比如中国。你所说的发达国家已经收到了环境的惩罚或者我们不能重复发达国家先污染后治理老路之类的话，其实只是我们以往的一种政治上的宣传，算不得数。

3 至于交流，我像现在英语已经普及到了这样的程度，该不会是什么问题。

一些关键性的东西反而没有提到。
比如经济上的投资和收益；大学的建筑地点；所研究的问题的学术性和现实情况之间的矛盾出入等等。
