I recommend Central Michigan University to you, it's a good springboard for applicant who's background is similar to yours, with a decent amount of effort, you are possible to go for schools such as George Mason. One of the other advantages of Cmich is that you can get Graduate Assistantship that covers at least half of the expenses each year. Also, you will have many opportunity to work with Professors so as to get good recommendation letters (of course it depends on your communication skills).
You can also apply to schools such as Auburn, Bowling Green State, Kente State, Baylor, Marquette, etc.
