南洋理工大学（Nanyang Technological University)是新加坡一所享誉世界的高等教育学府。在 Quacquarelli Symonds 提供的 2013 高等教育 排行榜上,被评为世界第47强的科研密集型大学,分文、理、工、商四大学院 为3万3千余名本科生和研究生提供全方位的跨学科教育。而设于数理学院下的化学和生物化学系Division of Chemistry and Biological Chemistry; http://www.spms.ntu.edu.sg/CBC)位于南洋理工大学校区内，是亚洲地区崛起最快的化学系之一，其世界排名也于2012年升至第49位。现已有1000多名本科生和230多名博士研究生在读。我系现有博士生导师36人，都有在北美，欧洲，澳洲，日本，或香港学习和研究的经历。他们指导的科研组在2008年落成的化学楼里拥有装备先进的化学和生物实验室，并配有世界领先水平的大型科研设备中心。目前有超过300名博士生和博士后在各自导师指导下从事前沿生物化学、化学课题的学习研究，其中许多科研成果发表于世界顶级专业期刊。
1、博士研究生培养计划简介
        2014学年秋季招生，我系将招收全日制博士研究生。学制2到4年。录取的所有博士研究生将被授予全额奖学金，包括四年全额学费和医疗保险。此外还将提供每月2000新元的生活补贴（约合10000人民币），如果在第二年顺利通过考核每月奖学金会上升至2500新元。学校还会为一年级研究生新生提供校内宿舍（住宿费远低于市场价格）。学期将于2014年8月开学。招生专业包括：
-        物理化学
-        分析和生物分析化学
-        有机化学
-        无机化学和金属无机化学
-        生物化学
-        纳米材料化学
2、报考条件：
报考我系博士研究生人员，须符合下列条件：
1 拥有理工科相关专业的本科或硕士学历，或研究经历的人员（国内985，211高校和中科院附属研究院所优先）。
2 有良好的本科（硕士）学习成绩。
3 无须GRE,TOEFL成绩。只需通过我系的安排的英语写作考试（< 400 words)和专业考试即可。
我系将于2014年3月15-16日举行入学考试 （地点和考试内容将另行通知）。有意的同学请于2014年2月28日前完成网上申请，或通过电子邮件（cbc_postgrads@ntu.edu.sg）联系我系姚国立教授。随信请附上个人简介，其中需包括教育背景，本科（硕士）GPA,有无GRE/TOEFL(或相应英语考试)的成绩，以及其他相应的内容。


Ph.D. Positions in the Division of Chemistry and Biological Chemistry
Nanyang Technological University, Singapore

The Division of Chemistry and Biological Chemistry in the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, will be offering scholarships to students who are interested in pursuing Ph.D. studies in the following areas of Chemistry, starting in August/September 2014.
•        Physical Chemistry and Chemical Physics
•        Analytical and Bio-analytical Chemistry
•        Organic Chemistry and Synthesis
•        Inorganic Chemistry and Organometallics
•        Biological Chemistry and Chemical Biology
•        Nanomaterials and Materials Chemistry
NTU is one of the fastest-rising universities in the world, and is ranked 47th amongst the world’s top 50 universities by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) in 2013. NTU has also secured the 86th place ranking in the world’s top 100 universities in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2012. According to the QS World University Ranking, NTU’s Chemistry is now ranked 49th in the world based on academic reputation, employer reputation and research output. The Division of Chemistry and Biological Chemistry is equipped with a suite of advanced instruments and facilities for conducting high impact scientific research.
Requirements:
The Division invites students with a good Bachelor (Honours) or Masters degree in Science to apply to its Ph.D. position. Successful candidates will receive a full scholarship including tuition fee waiver along with a monthly stipend of S$2,500 for Singapore Citizens, S$2,200 for Singapore Permanent Residents and S$2,000 for international students.  For students who pass the Ph.D. Qualifying Examination/Confirmation, the stipend may be increased to S$3,000 for Singapore Citizens, S$2,700 for Singapore Permanent Residents and S$2,500 for international students, subject to good performance in research and the attainment of required standards for courses taken.  On-campus graduate student accommodation is available. Entrance exams will be held on March 15-16, 2014. You will be informed of the exam venue and contents on a later date by email.
