Issue125 "The past is no predictor of the future."  

After careful and objective analysis about the issue that whether the past can serve as a predictor of the future, I find my view principally consistent with the author's. In my opinion, the past fails to be the predictor of the future, however, studying and analyzing the history can be conducive to the current development of the human society. In the following discussion, I will show my evidence to substantiate my view.

In the first place, the history of human society serves as a road map that lead us to where we are now, we can benefit a lot from the experience of former people. We have inherited plenty of precious heritages from our ancestor, including the culture and technology. Some of these can still be applied to nowadays society and exert great effect on the development of the field they belong to. We need look no further than the Art of War by Suntz's lasting significance to see the truth of my view. Suntz has finished the Art of War for almost two thousand years; it is one of the most outstanding military works in China. Though it mainly deals with the war of the past, it was widely read by people not only in China but also all over the world, ranging from military officials to businessmen, for its ideas and strategies can still be applied in much of today's various field, such as the military and business field.     

In the second place, although learning history cannot predict what will happen in the future, we can prevent some negative events from happening again after analyzing the reason of our previous failure or mistake. Mistake is inevitable in human society, it is not shameful to err, and however, what we should ensure is that we must not make the same mistake repeatedly. A glance at our history can bring us to a world full of mistakes which we ever made, fortunately, a profound study about their reasons can make you confident that the world can be better, for you will be able to guarantee that such terrible mistakes will not reappear. For example, people have experienced two world wars, which brings the whole world into the swamp of suffering. However when we retrospect the reason of such stupid blunders, we impute it to the ambition of a handful of politician and the insufficiency of the communication and negotiation between nations. So we have learned from the mistake which each of us cannot afford again that we should seek for a more peace and effective way to solve the conflict between countries for the good of all.

In the final analysis, however, there are indeed something which just emerged we have no counterpart in the past and then have no related material as reference. I think the environment pollution can serve as a good example.

To sum up, I agree with the author with no reservation. Through the discussion mentioned above, we can easily reach the conclusion that though the past is no predictor of the future, we can resort to our history to consult the experience of success and reason of the failure.

Your last phrase is unnecessary because it has not been developed.
You want to display your integrity in thinking ,but  the result is counterproductive.
It seems that I pay more attention to your flaw unconsciously.
I am sure that  it will decrease you score .Delete it.
After all,a well-developed argument is much more desirable than a well-rounded,but undeveloped one.
