句子的意思不难理解，这位governor一直致力于excising the media from the politician-public relationship. 所以，第二空很明显就是end。我的疑问是在第一个空。我理解的提示词是第二句话，“that's been the unifying aim of all her seemingly disconnected ventures since entering public life.” 尽管这位governor的总目标是不变的，但是其具体行为是“seemingly disconnected。” 所以第一个空我选了“rejuvenate，”为了和最终的“end”形成“seemingly disconnected。”
