请问大家遇到过这样的情况吗？？如果万一中途换导师，岂不是很麻烦。

Dear XXX,

Attached the comment for you to revised your research proposal. Sorry for the late reply.

I am very glad to supervise this project, however, I have just retired from full time postion in the XXX University. I am now serving as “Visiting Professor” in the XXX University, which means that I cannot take up postgraduate student as chief supervisor. However, I am still taking student as co-supervisor. In case, if you join our department, I can take up the supervision work, and I’ll find a ‘nominal’ Chief-supervisor for you, who will mainly take up administrative duties.
However, this ‘Visiting Professor” is only on temporary term, renewable year by year. I am glad to continue to teach in the XXX University, however, I have no control of whether they will extend my appointment.

So, if you choose to work with me, you need to take the risk of changing supervisor in the middle of your study.

If you still want me to be your supervisor, you can still name me as the ‘potential supervisor’ in your application.

好纠结啊。。。楼主申的哪个学校啊。。。我有个港大的师姐给我提过中途换导师的话会。。很。。麻。。烦。如果课题做完了或刚开始没多长时间还好说，要是做到一半的话就进也不是退也不是了。希望能帮到你。
不过你能问问他你不写他为potential supervisor，写他帮你找的supervisor行么。
或者，你能发邮件问问小米或者这个老师如果换导师会给你带来什么麻烦~
