the top firms and school are in Europe indeed........France + Italy.
target US for this goal means:
you really very very want to go to US, even at a price of career goal, education quality and etc......
and don't forgot that US MBA is basically all two years.......学费攒够了一年 = not really enough, unless have wavier / scholarship, but this is very rare for S16 level.
US MS (master of science) can be 1 year, but in that's a business MS in US........
"商学院用GMAT,不必考GRE" <--- that's indeed
"经济相关考gre, 金融相关才考gmat" <--- that's true also
and it is indeed quite obvious that OP don't have any idea what economics master is about..
the key point is........we seldom find a business school in US offering a master in economics....
for example, the MS Financial econ in Columbia Business school accept both GMAT & GRE (this is the only econ related master I found in top US business school)

great...Now I feel even more confused about the major selection.
I'm just fed up with the disorganized, "dolce far niente" Italy, so I'm pretty sure to go to the U.S. I came here asking for more information to help me make a decision, but it's actually a wrong step, people here are "pharmacist", not "doctors", they can only give you pills you've asked, but they can't diagnose and make you a prescription based on your condition.
Well, it's my fault to ask a bad question. Thank you all for your kindness these days.
P.S. actually i feel that the major you selected is still okay (as you have some related working experience), and a MBA is the norm for business further study for professionals.........only concern is: tuition.
