Prof. Rui Zhang in the Electrical Engineering Department at The University of Hawaii at Manoa is looking for highly self-motivated PhD students to conduct research in NSF-sponsored project on mobile device authentication as well as general areas of wireless and mobile security. An ideal candidate is expected to have:

- Strong mathematical skills, including probability analysis
- Solid background in wireless communications and networking
- An earned master degree in EE, CS or a relevant area is a plus
- Previous research experience in wireless and mobile computing is a plus
- Background in security or cryptography is a big plus

University of Hawaii at Manoa is the flagship campus in the University of Hawaii system.
