polyu 工业物流系统、航运 offe两枚r~ 求意见分析抉择

    当时ILS面完第二天就给我发了offer，苦等半月不见其它有动静就乖乖交了留位费T T，本来打算开始办签证的了结果昨天收到航运offer，开始纠结不知道要不要选择航运，因为听说理工留位费同校是可以转的，而且航运名气大好像出来就业也不错，就是学费好贵。。。。33学分制也比较多    ILS的课程设置似乎就业率更广泛一点，以后从事航运相关也是可以的，而且也有部分航运的课程可以选择。楼主是个纠结的人，麻烦各位有了解的能帮忙给点意见，感激不尽~

I'm a graduate from ILS, and I've also had friends studying in Shipping.

As the names would suggest, ILS is more broad, sometimes warehouse systems focused and you also have the site visit back in China in either of the two semesters. You will have some courses from Shipping which are limited.

While Shipping is really targeted narrowly on shipping industry, all the subjects regarding shipping industry will be studied like shipping economy, maritime laws and of course shipping related courses. And you need to intern in a certain company for several months in order to graduate.

Classmates are more diverse in Shipping while in ILS 99% students are coming from China, if you are lucky you may have a few local classmates.


JOB PROSPECT: Either one is quite easy to land you a job in Hong Kong because logistics industry is relatively  thriving here. ILS graduates will need high caliber to enter shipping companies, but easy to find a job in logistics companies.

For Shipping, almost all the students will go for shipping companies. Higher starting salary would be one of the reasons and many shipping companies will come, hoping to find some possibles for their company.

SALARY: Shipping is higher compared with ILS.  But Shipping industry is going down currently and it seems that it will keep sinking for the next couple of years.

If you determined to work in a shipping company after graduation, go for Shipping without hesitation. If either field is fine with you, ILS only needs one year to graduate, while Shipping needs at least 1.5 years.

If i had a chance again, I would go for Shipping.

不是。选择最关键的是你想要什么，不是其他人给的建议都符合你的实际情况。工业物流涉及面广，航运涉及点深。然后航运不是要求所有人都要有internship才可以毕业，这个是针对奖学金学生而言的。33学分制也是比工业物流多了一门课而已。非奖学金的学生据我所知还是一年毕业的比较多，一般会选择第一学期五门课，第二学期三门或四门，然后summer term一门或两门课的方式。工业物流就直接五加五了。毕竟多一个学期就要多一个学期的生活费，香港的物价你懂的。然后工业物流通常四月底就结课考试结束，所以大家找工作开始时间早一些。航运结课要五月，或者有人觉得summer term还有课就干脆七八月再找。都不是绝对的。另外薪资方面，没有绝对高低，我们班很多同学比航运同学工资高或者不相上下。就留港而言，应该是航运毕业后留港多一些，但是也有很多事呆一两年久回家了。工业物流的就业是是涉及很多方面的，毕竟物流的范围更广一些，制造业，供应链企业，货代，运输包括航运，零售业，物流企业都会涉及物流和供应链。航运的一般就是货代，船公司，船舶管理，船舶保险等等。然后假如工业物流和航运的同学同时找航运类工作，一般是航运更有竞争力。但是我们班加我至少三个人在航运企业，所以这个事情也不绝对。同理航运同学也有去做范围更广的物流工作的'。还是看自己想要什么最重要。
对了，工业物流full time通常是大陆学生，part time都是local，航运这边不管ft还是pt都是各地学生，韩国，印度，香港，大陆等等。
