Scientists and other researchers should focus their research on areas that are likely to benefit the greatest number of people.


Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the recommendation and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, describe specific circumstances in which adopting the recommendation would or would not be advantageous and explain how these examples shape your position.


Some people claim that sicentists and other researchers should focus their efforts on areas that can bring the benefit to the most people. In my view, it depends on whether or not there is any requirement for the return of investment in the research or any urgent need from the majority to do the research. If there is no limit on the expense, scientists should be encouraged to do the research to driven by the curiority or urge to search the truth of life, which is the spirit of science.

For scientists employed by corporation's research department, there is normally a requirement from share holders for the return of investment in the research. The research should be focused on the areas that are possiblily to bring benefits to the majority people to maximum the market value. 这个分论点偏离了题目的关键词the greatest number of people

For scientists in the medical field, when there occurs some new epidemics, researchers should focus on this area as the priority to benefit the greatest amount of people.

解释　：　虽然药物开发研究都是可以给人类带来益处　，但是当大规模的新型流行疾病出现时，科学家应该重点关注针对这个疾病的药物研发，从而能给　最多的人群带来福音。




For scientists sponsored by some funding or government without limit on the expense invested, they are encouraged to do the research driven by the curiorisity to propel the human progress in the long run.
例子：　天文学家　
解释　：对于地球以外生命的探索，宇宙的起源，可能对于大部分人来说没有什么意义。但如果有足够的经费支持，科学家应该被鼓励探索和研究这些对人类未来发展有深远意义的领域。


我觉得到你这个阶段 应该尽可能的按照范文的思路来写  可以换表达和例子 但是不要自己拍脑袋想提纲
