不过我想问问你们是怎么知道学校对于中国学生的Q要求必须是满分的咧，我原来一直以为167够了。

GRE 可能对 marginal applicant 些许重要。如果你的 Q>166 似乎都不会在第一轮被刷下来。

GRE 肯定是越高越好啊。但是你考的 marginal cost 和 Pr(考得比上次好)*E(好的分数对录取的作用) 哪个比较高呢？

如果你现在闲得蛋疼。那大可以再去考。反正没成本。但是如果你现在有其他提高自己 profile 的机会的话就要好好取舍一下了

be honest 我當時的Q也只是168. 考過兩次都是168就放棄了.........表示要工作沒時間陪他玩

這樣說吧, 再重考否, 視乎本身情況, case by case:
1. 有時間嗎?
2. 有用嗎? (this varies from one to one too. imagine what ad com will think of an applicant from PKU with a math major but Q165? vs someone from a no name uni in management major?)


G其實沒那麼重, 網上somehow overweight it simply because it is the only factor (also TOFEL) that one can improve before application in a short period of time (but not internship, GPA)

哈哈，我其实就是数学专业的。昨天作文分出了，就是3.0。那我现在两次分数分别是143+170+2.5，和146+167+3.0.你是觉得hand in第一个比较好吗，我感觉V和AW会不会太差了看的刺眼，第二个会不会好一点? Q170的百分比是98,167是94，感觉也可以用。

虽然欧陆可能有点特殊不过我觉得170应该好过167，而v和作文估计几乎不会影响你的录取

我邮件问了小蜜，她明确说只看Q的分数啦！
我问的是：In you last reply, you said that you do not look at non-quant GRE  results. Is that means it doesn't matter that  my verbal and writing scores are very low, such as verbal score is 143 and writing is 2.5 but quant is 170.
她的回复是：Correct.
You have to quote GRE scores in percentiles, though.
