最近看了几个PGWP的帖子,发现原来详细的在这里

之前看到帖子上有童鞋去边境办PGWP，结果没给3年，数的在加拿大实际的读书时间，给的20个月而不是3年。

其实operation manual里写的很清楚，上面这种情况还真是官员业务不精了。

我的项目是offer上写2年，然后实际上一年半就能上完，但是就算我是1年就加速读完了，也应该拿3年工签。

Validity

Work permits issued under the PGWPP may be valid for up to three years.

Examples:
•If the program of study is eight months (minimum duration), then the duration of the work permit should be eight months.
•If the program of study is at least eight months but less than two years, then the duration of the work permit should coincide with the duration of the program of study.

•If the program of study is at least two years, then the duration of the work permit should be three years.
这里写了如果"PROGRAM OF STUDY"是2年，就应该是3年的工签。是should be哦。。。不仅仅是may.

•If students who obtained a one-year graduate degree or diploma from an eligible institution in Canada after having obtained, within the prior two years, another diploma or degree from an eligible institution in Canada, then the duration of the work permit may be up to 3 three years.

If the student is enrolled in a program of study that is normally eight months in duration but the student completes the requirements for the program of study within six months, they may be eligible for PGWPP.
就算你在加拿大读了不超过半年都能申请PGWP 哈哈。。。

Given that the program of study must be at least eight months in duration and not that the student must have been studying for at least eight months, the student may to be eligible for a post-graduation work permit valid for eight months.

这里说了“PROGRAM OF STUDY”至少要8个月才能申请工签，但不是说你must study eight months.你只读了不到半年，还是eligible for eight months PGWP.
俺的OFFER上写的PROGRAM OF STUDY就是2年，但是我1年半肯定能毕业。
不用怕拿不到3年工签了，直接让他们自己查Operation Manual.
PROGRAM OF STUDY =/= DURATION OF STUDY IN CANADA.

希望有人argue用得着。

还有上面写的work permit should be three years. 也是关键点。

所以像我们学校meng实际上是一年，但是学校项目长度写的是两年的话非常良心

请问申请PGWP是参考的最开始录取时的offer上的时间吗？
我的offer上写的是a master's program normally takes 2 years， 但是这个给所有研究生都这么写的，官网上我的专业是normally within 2 years，这样ok吗？
