[B]There is a lesbian magazine called "Lesbian On The Loose" in sydney and this magazine always writes "grrls this" "grrls that". Then I just can't stop wondering whether "grrl" means "lesbian".

Today, after I chatted with an American pal, I completely tumbled to it. Now, let's share the knowleage here...[/B]

In the United States, the term "grrl" came into use in feminist circles and is often used by people (ususally female) to portray strong, independent women. Many lesbian women consider themselves to be strong, independent women which is why the term would pop up in a lesbian magazine.

Lesbian = dike = lesbo = gay = fairy (usually for male faggots)

Faggot is used for guys usually...

Lesbian is usually used to describe female to female sex acts.

Dike is usualy used for typical ugly gay female couples. It is kinda like name calling and lesbian is just describing only...it's the politically correct way to describe female to female relationships.


They may all mean the same thing, but that's how they are generally used.

As far as I know, most have been deceived into believing the average homosexual lives a perfectly normal and healthy way of life.

Because of the bias manner in which homosexuality is portrayed by the media, the general public has little understanding of the true nature of the homosexual lifestyle.

They behave just like everybody else except for the minor difference that they happen to be attracted to people of the same-gendar, right?

Sorry, I can't offer more, 'cause this kinda discussion may easily lead to a serious dispute here...

As for human societies, let's see... Up until the early 1900s, when China began to assimilate the Victorian thinking of the West, homosexual behavior was both accepted and common here, with numerous emperors being gay. In fact, the idea of distinct sexual orientations didn't even exist before then.
