I plan to start my preparation for CFA just after spring festival. I have asked the interviewers of HKUST Econ the same question, they also suggest me to get it started early.

Speaking of Cantonese, I have been in Canton for several years, I can understand it, but cannot speak fluently, much because the accent of Cantonese is so hard for me. Do you think whether I should practice my oral Cantonese?

It really depends on how much time u have, and how much u want to stay hk. And also how confident that u can get a job in a top international firm which use english as sole office language

Just to be clear. When I said I would follow his advice, I mean I will watch more TV programmes or news about finance and economics. I am fine with using English as written communication tool and I will try my best to use English as long as others use English to communicate with me.Anyway, I really apprecaite your advice!
