港三所和NUS的Econ MSc如何抉择

HKUST先来的offer，CUHK和HKU说之后给正式的，应该是推研信……
都是一年制的经济学授课硕士，楼主没有雄心壮志继续读下去啦，读个硕士就是为了以后就业好一些，而且估计是回国，毕竟HK压力好大……
HKUST明天留位费DDL，估计就要挥手放过了，谁让我有该死的拖延症和纠结症，而且网评大多说它偏重数理，我又是个数学渣……
剩下这两个据说一个学术上好些，一个声名上好些？我哥哥说它们是半斤八俩，选哪个都不差，但是最后总得选是不~
另外最纠结的是还申了NUS的AE，本来很心水坡国的环境，但是看了一些帖子都说AE水又不好待，于是更纠结了，它offer又来得晚……
有没有童鞋主要从未来就业和发展角度帮俺分析一下，主要是港大、中文和国立，感激不尽！

报一下条件，其实除了学校是985剩下真的没啥，均分85，雅思6.5，两个普通公司实习，真不知道今年是什么狗屎运……

this is a question of HKUST vs NUS, i.e. HK vs US.

P.S. given you have HKUST offer, it is very obvious to give up the HKU or CUHK one.

=> Conclusion = pay the deposit first, and wait for NUS to decide.

It is a joke that you consider a solid program to be too mathematical, and at the same time consider a easier program to be "water". Really time to take medicine.

因为截止日期太早真的没想好，还有就是港科的专业性真的可以碾压港大的知名度么？这两天真的好纠结

只是想选一个折中的……比较重要的还是就业

折中? 折中 between what two stuffs that?

there is no free lunch. either you pay the effort and do that, or not.

the only question is: do you think that the analytical training from a more solid program will help in your career?
if yes, take the challenge.
if no, go for a softer program to get more time on other business.

and the answer of this question really depends on your desired career path. (not only things as general as financial industry, but which divisions?)

normally I will say it will be a better plan to go for a more solid one as there are not much chances for solid analytical training by means other than a degree.

academically yes, HKUST > CUHK > HKU. according to economics research ranking
and also the same for business school indeed.
for job in HK, I will say they will get you the same interview, the major difference will be on the program itself (well, on the performance of oneself the most indeed)

I will say NUS is of similar level in overall reputation as HKU, CUHK, and HKUST, so it is quite pointless to compare it with them as the location will be a much bigger concern.

个人感觉没什么差别。因为毕竟你还是要回国。这几所港校都很够有名气了。个人很喜欢港大的气氛。如果是我我会选择港大。楼上有人给出了排名，我觉得也是很好的参考，不过你不走学术道路，个人觉得这个排名的参考价值还不如你的preference

大神你好 我也面临选择 HKU HKUST 和NUS的问题 但我是土木工程专业， NUS的话考虑留那里工作 HK的话读完就回大陆了准备。请问哪一所会比较好一点啊？谢谢！

首先我们讨论经济的MSc的话，专业性都是笑话，你做两个水实习都比在学校里上专硕最难的课要专业，当然学校里的成绩可以为你入职以后的学习能力提供一些参考...

知名度大多数情况下是逢年过节拿来给七大姑八大姨谈论的，管招聘的HR比你更清楚每个学校近年的生源质量

你要从就业角度分析的话首先得看你自己有没有规划，做研究、交易还是销售，一级市场还是二级市场，银行投行还是券商，或者金融咨询？准备充分一点总是没错的

要回国就业的话不管你这些学校哪一个出来都能过简历关，剩下的就是看你自己的面试表现了，毕竟打铁还需自身硬不是...

【最后补一句，科大经济并不偏重数理，甚至为了照顾本科非经济非数理专业的同学还有欠缺，其实用到的都是经济学里很基础的数学工具。数学复习课上线性代数、实分析、最优化、动态优化四大块都过得比较简单，证明少得连大学本科数学专业二年级的水平可能都够不上，如果这都叫偏重数理的话那不偏重数理的经济学专硕都该改名叫吹水学了...】
