话虽是这样说  但总觉得年一年的硕士含金量不高 而且我想学经济 听说在英国很多中国学生都是学这个专业 找工作也不容易 回国会怎样呢 今天当我和正在国内念硕士的一个师哥说起来在英国读硕士没有导师只上课时 他都笑死了 劝我还不如在国内读呢
所以我现在很是矛盾啊

Don't come to UK to take those MSc course, it will only take your money and give you nothing except for that master degree worthing nothing in the world.  After you spend 250k RMB here and finally get a not good master degree if you can insist to get it, you will find that you can neither use it to susessfully apply for PhD (those with scholarship) of US university, nor can you  find a professional job here.  Then after another year ( only if you take science and engineering course can you stay another year), you have to come back, this degree still is not useful in China whether you have learn somthing or not.  I am the one that have already be cheated by this old empire capital country.  I am studying in a so call ranking third university in UK.  In the past eight months, I teach myself most of the time to overcome exams and courses, personal tutor is nothing though exiting.  Hongkong classmates are not helpful, they act like British and not like Chinese.  They can get past exam papers from those past Hongkong students, but without such relationship mainland students are unlucky if those Hongkong classmates do not want to share with you.  To make friends with them, you must be as rich as them.

Is it worth or not to go UK study for Master? The question seems will never finish, from last year i decided to go UK,  till now I have already been here 9 months, there are still person talking about this question.

Talk something about what i feel about study in UK; ( about engineering)

1. If you are really want to learn sth, i am sure you can get sth finally.

2. UK master education basiclly depend on self research, you must learn how to sovle problem by yourself. But how can you make good use of your enviroment,such as the libary, your classmates, your supervisor in final project, and other help from PhD student, etc, it will depend on individaul ability. if you can handle all of these well, you will get better performance.  

3. It is one year, but absolutly 12 months, time is very tight for taught program. If you can not catch up the course step, you may fail anytime. it is not only one i met here quit in half way. One year doesn't mean  easy or less thing you need to do.

4. About PhD, I feel engineering may have more chance get funding. I don't know other subject, so can not say about others. but in engineering, the fund may come from different path, it also need you pay attention, and try your best to do that. Nothing is free.  If you want to get fund, first you need made good performance in your master study. I think at this point, apply US PhD is the same.  they may not care where you graduatded, where you come from, if you rich or not, but they will care how much you understand your research filed, how much you have done in this area, how good you have done, have you publish some papers, etc. what they care is not your university fame,  is your interest and potential.

Now, I have already get my PhD offer, and also fund from my supervisor. I am satisfied what i am reseaching now. I never regret i came UK, it is better than i wasted 2 years to wait my US visa in home.

5. To be strong, to learn how to deal with lonely. most time you have to be independent. And to be brave, to make friends with diffrent person, not just expect to get help from Chinese.  At first it is no easy, but it will be better with time passed.
