我的理解是这样的：
通常认为，人类的lifespan定义动物寿命的outer bound，（但其实乌龟比人的寿命长，也就是说落在human lifespan的外面），所以倾向于去忽略乌龟壳的故事。后面转折说的就是乌龟寿命长的事。

题目要支持的观点就是动物活得比人寿命长。所以一开始说很多人认为人比动物活的长的观点，然后后面进行反驳，故第一空选C。 后一句实则是在肯定动物活得比人寿命长，因此一开始应是否定词，故选A.
