我并没有意思，或者说，这个老师不愿意考虑或者接收这个applicant（你可能被solomonking朋友误导了），另外我理解你的心情，申请季压力大，别人说这是模版等，你心里刚有一点希望别人泼冷水心里不舒服。请明白，这个回复还是比较积极的“模版”
继续保持联系当时是必须的！正如你自己申请很多学校，教授也会同时面对很多申请人。


你可以再仔细看一下我的回复，我的意思是说即便名校在钱这件事上有问题是很正常，并且说明了如果自己可以解决钱的问题可以增加录取的几率（如果这个program可以教授推荐录取，或者不用rotation），或者教授未来有钱了才会有能力考虑接受谁的问题，在此之前，他对任何人，也许或者潜在觉得谁可以（找自己的备胎们）也许都是这样的回复。申请季教授周期性接受的申请信很多，但是教授对你感兴趣自然是好的。不过和你一样，你也不会只申请一家program。

看了solomonking的回复，不知道solomonking对我的说法argue什么？另外，大致浏览了一下你在论坛的所有的回复，对你的background有个基本了解，我只是表示好奇，可能我逻辑不够严谨，请说明～我也学习借鉴一下。

嗯嗯你说的也有道理，其实我已经有拿到其他学校的一些offer，现在在等康奈尔的消息，还是希望会有好结果啦

I am not arguing with you on anything. I just simply don't agree with you on "mo ban" this conclusion. I understand you might think this is so called "mo ban" response. But, from my experience, this response LZ posted reflects the simplest situation of one professor's interest and his/her funding status.  Believe it or not, when that professor put down those words in the email, he or she may be even thinking this response as an encouragement.

BTW, I am flattered that you even bothered to look into my background thru my responses posts. But since I did or do not intend to win any argument here, I don't know if it is too much to think me as competitor or maybe "virtual enemy"?

Anyways, my point was to wish LZ good luck and provided some inputs on this question. So please take it easy if you find any of my words offended you.
