been awarded a 75% reduction是指学费乘以0.25？

申请了爱丁堡的经济学项目，但一直 没接offer。前几天发来这么一封邮件，说是been awarded a 75% reduction。
但是自己的系统里一直没有更改学费状态，于是就发邮件去问。
Your fee status will remain the same, when you commence your studies you will receive an invoice for the outstanding 25% and the SGPE will be invoiced for 75%.

收到了这么一封回信。并不是很理解是什么意思（SPGE是这个经济学院的名字）
可是系统状态也没改，我要怎么相信这是真的，开学又和谁去考证呢？有没有版上有类似情况的小伙伴啊？

As far as I know (or guess):
- fee status wont change of course. this is about UK/EU vs international.
- they will separate the bill into two. one with 25% of the tuition go to you, and another one with 75% of tuition go to the department (SGPE) and they will pay for it. Kind of administrative procedure reason I guess.
- it depends on who send out this email. If it is an official one from the right office, then it should be also legally binding.

His email is ended in @ed.ac.uk, the school office email address. i have already sent him an email.

Firstly, is that means the fee i actually had to pay is ￡20,100.00*0.25=￡5,025.00

Secondly, for i can not see any changes in my fee status, do you have any offical document to prove SPGE will be invoiced for 75%

Thirdly, for the offer should be reponsed by 2nd Feb but is 3rd Feb today, could you help me to change the conditional offer, and give me another several weeks to reconsider this offer. For this scholorship is actually very appealing, I have to consider it for another few weeks.

就是觉得这个有点出乎我的意料。。。
照理他要真给我那么多钱，为啥lse和剑桥连offer都舍不得还不给我，我真想因为钱投到爱丁堡的怀抱里

啊表示也收到了这个邮件……大概前天收到了第二封 说已经更新了offer 然后网申系统里的offer condition会有更改
放置了爱大的offer一个月 忽然收到这个也是被吓到……猜想今年招生情况或许不太理想？

已经私戳加好友啦~想问你接offer了嘛？我还没接哎，而且我的状态的确到现在都还没发生变化。不过我接offer的时间已经过了，不过offer没有被withdraw倒是如他在邮件中所说那~

也还没有，不过有点想接hhh
如果这几天其他学校还没出结果的话大概会先接下，因为myed系统里说接下之后还可以取消

我也想接hhh，也在等别的学校，不过感觉别的学校都要八周才会出结果的样子，爱丁堡这个出太快，可能要先接了

楼主好厉害。想问下我双非，GPA3.1。托福90。奖学金以及各种奖项都有。有一年工作经验，申请爱丁堡大学可能性大么？是不是没有希望啊？
