萌萌的楼主我又来啦，这次已经accept了ottawa的mgt offer,各方面也算是比较圆满的，总算不辜负我扛着7封（没错是七封）拒信的精神打击等到它~所以说现在还没有Offer的同志们不要灰心！相信Offer一定会有的！

今天忽然突发奇想，觉得论坛里小伙伴收到这么多拒信的也不多吧~要不就晒晒我的7封拒信，让大家感受一下不同学校的不同拒信风格吧（不）！下文中有需要打码的地方一概用xxxxx表示，大家懂的~

①york

约克是让我最崩溃的一个学校，因为它无情的在1.27（大年三十）的晚上把我扔进了waiting list！信件如下：

Dear xxxxx:

Thank you for applying to the MMgt program at the Schulich School of Business.

We would like to inform you that your application has been reviewed by the admission committee and placed on the waitlist. We do see strengths in your profile, but competition for this program is very strong, and so we are not able to offer you admission at this time. We will review your application again as part of the next round.

Being placed on the waitlist means that your application will be put back into the applicant pool and reviewed against applications for the next round of admission. There is no formal list or ranking of waitlisted candidates. We will be in touch again once a re-review of your application has taken place to confirm your status.

If you are able to strengthen your profile in any significant way while waitlisted, such as improvement of grades, a test score, or substantial career progression, please keep us updated.

We appreciate your patience and wish you the best of luck in the next round. If you do not wish to be reconsidered for admission, please email admissions@schulich.yorku.ca.

多么的人性化！多么的耐心！然而我是拒绝的，作为我的第一封拒信（我当时百度了一下，感觉WL里转正的可能性太小了）我就再也没有管约克这个学校，当时信心满满的认为后面还有很多offer，而且这个项目是一年的course based的，我本身也是申请试试，不是特别的想去。后来约克有发过很多短期访问，线上交流介绍的邮件，被我统统无视…… 直到一周前，我收到了正式的拒信，如下：

Dear xxxxx:

I regret to inform you that your application to the MMgt program has not been approved.

Candidates are assessed on the basis of their academic performance, test scores, communication skills, experience, language proficiency and references. Unfortunately, meeting minimum admission criteria is no guarantee of admission to the program, given the competitive nature of the process.

The Admissions Committee reviewed your file in light of the documentation presented. Due to the limited spaces available, I regret to inform you that the Faculty is unable to offer you a place in the program.

I am sorry for any disappointment this decision may cause and wish you success with your future plans.

约克的申请就到此为止了：（  我猜测是今年有工作经验的申请者太多……我本身的竞争力不够吧。我听说这个大学在加拿大很有名，但是有问过当地工作了十几年的认识的阿姨，她了解的并不多，从论坛和谷歌上了解的其实也并不多，被拒绝也是意料之内的事情吧~

②西安大略，ivey

ivey是我的梦校……然而也是我提交申请到拒绝我最快的一所学校，大概隔了两周就把拒信给到了我，如下：

Dear xxxxx,

After careful consideration of your application, the Admissions Committee regrets to inform you that your application has not been accepted for the Ivey MSc Program in 2018.  This decision should not be viewed as a reflection of your potential for a successful career in business.

We would like to thank you for considering our school and we appreciate the time and effort that you put into your application.  The committee considered it carefully and commends you on your successes to date.

Ivey's admissions process is rigorous, and the Admissions Committee conducts a holistic and thoughtful review of all applications. The committee finds it must disappoint many applicants who are well qualified for other programs.

Thank you for your interest in the Ivey Business School.  We wish you every success in your future endeavours.

多么的人性化！多么的贴心！……然后拒绝了我。其实收到这样一封拒信，虽然我是很沮丧的，但心情尚可，而且我当时远远没有预料到未来还有那么多拒信等着我。当时的我还很天真的期待的未来。（微笑不语）不过总的来说这封拒信是我收到的七封拒信中最贴心的一个，然而它还是一封拒信。

③UBC

UBC的拒信真的出乎我意料，因为他们学校一贯的作风是把邮件写的很好看的，并且还有背景图片什么的，然而这一封是干巴巴的几句话，而且UBC也是和YORK一样不断的在给我发各种MBA的课程介绍的邮件，我是拒绝的……不多说，上拒信：

Dear xxxxx,

Thank you for your application to the UBC Master of Management Program, 2017 entry. Your application has been reviewed by the MM Admissions Committee, and we regret to inform you that you are not-eligible for the program.

You must have an undergraduate degree in a non-business or non-management discipline and less than two years or work experience to be eligible for the UBC MM program. Because of your management background, we feel instead that with a few years of high quality work experience, you would be better positioned to apply for our MBA program.

Thank you for your interest in the UBC MM program, we wish you the best in your future endeavors.

对此，我就只有大写的懵比。我本科专业是Public administration，是研究行政的！我还专门发了transcript和一些解释给他们，重点是我最后拿到的本科degree是law的... 后来想想我算是打了个擦边球，被拒也有一定程度是自己作的，只是当时没有考虑那么多，收到拒信之后默默的思索片刻，随意也就随他去了。

补充一句：UBC的小蜜是我整个申请过程中遇见的最负责的小蜜，包括我提供我的课程陈述什么的，她都超级有耐心的！

④laurier 商学院

这个我是最最最委屈的，也是最庆幸的。我在大年初六的时候收到了一封面试邀请，大概长这样↓：

Hello xxxxx:

In reply to your recnet application to Laurier's MSc program in management, the admission committee would like to conduct an interview with you. Please let us know if you are still interested in the program and your availability.

先不吐槽里面还有拼写错误，一封邮件不提供面试方式和面试时间，就问我还有没有兴趣和有没有空？我看到的第一反应是可能对方不急，而且当天我在准备悉尼的CEMS项目的面试，就想拖半天再回复（而且当时是加拿大的晚上对不对！我回复也不会被看到的！）结果中国时间下午六点收到了老师催促的邮件，表示要我ASAP回复……我就赶紧回复了过去，然后就没有然后了。时隔半个月之后（期间我也发过几封邮件去询问）老师回复我说没有收到我之前的邮件，知道我还在laurier的waiting list上，让我继续等着吧。其实我也有查过这个教授，是一个中国教授……联系到他的邮件风格和打听到的一些道听途说，本身就已经要放弃去他那里了，但是这样的结果是莫名的不爽。在三月中旬的时候，我收到了正式的拒信，如下：

Dear xxxxx:

Thank you for applying to Wilfrid Laurier University. The program to which you have applied has carefully considered your application and determined that an offer will not be recommended (see letter attached). Should you wish to obtain information on how to strengthen a future application, you may wish to contact the graduate program directly.

恩……然后我心大的发了邮件问了这个program，我说我很想直到如何strengthen我的application, 而且我认为这次拒信不是我竞争力不够，完全是人力和不可抗力因素的结合，看看能不能再argue一下。当然，至今没有任何回复。：D

⑤UT

作为申请加拿大大学的我，怎么能不去申请一发UT，这个学校我相信我进去的概率太小太小了，但是万一呢！（当然这种万一是没有发生啦~）

Thank you for applying to the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto.  The review of your application is now complete.  Unfortunately, we are unable to offer you a place in our program at this time.

The review process is based on an extensive assessment of your work experience, academic performance, and test scores, as well as personal essays and letters of reference.  We receive many more qualified applicants than may be accepted and the task of selecting the most suitable and compatible class is not an easy one.

Again, thank you for your interest in our program and we wish you luck in your future endeavours.

说不上亲切，但是中规中矩，看在你排名这么强，申请人数这么多的份上，就勉为其难的接受这个结果啦（其实不接受也没有什么用QAQ）

⑥ queens'

这个学校我的教训就是能早点把资料寄出去就早点寄出去……我的材料用DHL寄了一个月才到我也是醉了，小蜜很好心的发了一封邮件表示你的材料收到了，但是因为你晚了所以你被扔进了第二轮里（我估计就是waiting list的意思，因为貌似没有一轮二轮之说..?）邮件大概长这样：

Hello xxxxx,

Your Queen’s application is now complete and will go forward to the Admissions Committee in the second round due to the lateness of it. You may check in your online application anytime to review the decision made by the Admissions Committee under Department Decisions.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

之后的拒信基本来的毫无意外，本来说今年招生的教授有一位是我们学校出去的，但最后材料这出意外让我也很无奈。顺便一提，女王大学的status是需要在网上自己查的，从通知我所有的结果已经发出去了到我的网申页面显示rej，中间隔了有十来天……感慨一句加拿大的销量之低下……（算了不说了，其中最夸张的就是我接了offer的uo 呀哈哈~）

⑦waterloo

高冷范十足……从我交材料到给我拒信，中间是杳无音讯的，我也试图套教授，也是杳无音讯的……然后3.28号（就是我uo offer来之前的前一天）措不及防的收到了一封拒信：

Dear xxxxx,

Your application for admission to the Management Sciences, MMSc program has been given careful consideration by the Graduate Committee. We are writing, with regret, to tell you that we are unable to make you an offer of admission.

We appreciate your interest in our program, and wish you the best on your academic journey.

Graduate Studies Office
University of Waterloo

……恩，真的简单粗暴……心疼自己三秒钟，不过这个学校一直没有套到教授，这个结果也是意料之中，但是让我有点吃惊的是……说好的4月底的拒信呢！整整提前了一个月！！

anyway，UO的OFFER硬生生的拖到了最后一刻在发给我，是我收到的最后的结果。整个过程中有煎熬，有无奈，有抓狂，有崩溃，到3月底这段时间每天晚上都睡不好，基本上过一会就醒了就刷刷邮箱，看看offer来了没有。但是同时也学到了很多，相信未来会由更多的收获，大家一起加油~
