Duties
The appointees will assist the project leader in the project – “Development of web GIS for disaster analysis and prediction”.

Main duties include:
a)        Data collection, cleaning and transformation (tiles, raster, vector, imagery, tabular data and etc.);
b)        Wild fire behavior analysis and prediction;
c)        Wild fire simulation algorithms testing and integration;
d)        Arial imagery data processing for fire analysis;
e)        Administrative supports;
f)        Other related tasks assigned by project leader;

Qualifications
Applicants should have a degree with good honors in Geographic Information System, Computer Science or related disciplines.

Applicants should also have:
a)        knowledge and skills in spatial data processing and analysis (remote sensing imagery processing and aerial imagery processing is a plus);
b)        proven knowledge of GIS software and python packages;
c)        knowledge of GIS/Web-GIS development;
d)        knowledge of Unix/Linux (CentOS is a plus);

Applicant with proficient python programming skills, knowledge in fire/disaster simulation and fluent English will be given prior consideration.
