Students interested in this position please feel free to send an email to Dr. He Bai (he.bai@okstate.edu) with a detailed CV/resume and a research statement. Any questions are also welcome.
The Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering department at Oklahoma State University has state-of-the-art research facilities in controls, robotics, and UAS. Particularly, the department has a strong focus on unmanned autonomous systems and offers a UAS degree option for graduate students (https://unmanned.okstate.edu/).
Dr. He Bai’s research interests include nonlinear control and estimation, multi-agent systems, sensor fusion, vision-based control and navigation, and robotics. He joined Oklahoma State University in 2015. He has published a research monograph “Cooperative control design: a systematic passivity-based approach” in Springer in 2011 and numerous peer-reviewed conference and journal papers. His research has been supported by the Air Force, Navy, NASA, DAPRA and industry partners. Before joining Oklahoma State University, he was a Senior Research and Development Scientist in private industry, where he was the principal investigator for a number of research projects on UAS related research and technologies. From 2009 to 2010, he was a post-doc at Northwestern University, Evanston, IL. He received the B. Eng degree in the department of Automation from University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei, China, in 2005, and the M. S. and Ph.
