1) The above ranking applies to JD degree holders.
2) IP includes patent, copyright and trademark. The latter two may not bring in big business. As for patent, there are two areas: prosecution and litigation. Patent prosecution may require a registration number from USPTO, which may require permanent resident status to apply (with the exception for firm-sponsored H-1B visa status). Patent litigation does not require a patent agent/attorney registration before USPTO.
