学校1月8号开课。我应该什么时候去比较合适呢？
1。 需要体检吗？听说海关是不会查体检结果的。但学校发了几个表格给我，要我到学校前填好。Medical History, Immunization History. 填好了该找那个医生签名啊？http://www.uhs.uga.edu/information/immunizations.html
2。 医疗保险怎么买？学校网页上说保险费自动包括在fee billing中。但有一张insurance的表要我填。http://www.uhs.uga.edu/information/insurance.html
3。刚到的时候住宿怎么办？
3。tuition and fee可以用debit card付吧？不需要手续费吧？
4。 外汇怎么换？在银行能换多少？我先带第一个semester的tuition and fee，以及生活费就可以了吧？
5。腰带被子和枕头吗？

I think you'd better to arrive college one week in advance. If you can find some Chinese before you go there, that will be better. I recommend you to contact International Student Office in the university within next week. You need to consider the winter break, for student which is normally from Dec.16 to Jan. 10.
answer to your questions:
1. yes, customer will not check your health inspection report. the college I am in also did not check my report. to tell the truth, i did not go to do the health inspection. in addition, if you did not do it, you may do not have enough time to complete it.anyway, it is not a very important issue. You can see "*Signed documentation required from newly admitted freshmen or matriculated students planning to reside in university housing indicating that they have received the vaccine or have reviewed information about the disease." from the link you provided. If you leave off-campus, you do not need to consider it. That is my understanding.
2. I think the university will charge the insurance fee automatically when you register. I have no idea about the form you mentioned, thus I can only tell you to fill as much as you can and take it with you when you do your registeration.
3. You may share with other Chinese,if you can find some. You can also send email or post message on the BBS in that university to see whether someone can share room with you.
4( your second 3,hehe) You may have problems with your debit card. Hurry up applying for a international Credit Card issued by Bank of China or other big bank. The most important thing is to ensure you can use it to pay money in US.
5 ( your 4)As a student, you have $5000 quota. You can go to Bank of China to exchange dollar. As I know, you need to take your passport with visa, I-20, enrollment letter with you to show to the bank staff. Certainly, if you have international Credit Card, you do not need to take too much cash with you($500 for emergency will be enough). Even if you do not have credit card, you can use other method such as international money transfer(for example: WestUnion), travel check,etc. You need to bring some small money with you, i.e. several $1, $2, $5 bills.
6. (your 5) NO.defenitely no. buy them here and save space for other useful things.

我曾经发过email问学校，回复说debit card可以交学费。我申请的时候用debit card交申请费的，都成功。有谁能知道究竟用debit card交学费有没有问题？万一真的不能用，有什么办法可以快速的汇款的？那个时候可能我在美国还没有银行账户。
