A Ph.D candidate means that he/she has compeleted all the required coursework and  comprehensive exam (qualification exam).

It seems a PhD (direct entry) student does not have a qualification exam in my university. Anyway, thank you for the advice.

I just got my CL yesterday but they say usually the OPR will be issued on the same day otherwise it might be a negative result??? I have my AIP already...
