Topic: Government must ensure that their major cities receive the financial support they need in order to thrive, because it is primarily in cities that a nation’s cultural traditions are preserved and generated.

As a famous saying goes: “A person or a country can not lose his character. Or, he would lose himself.” And a nation’s character often embodies its cultural traditions. Therefore, I affirmatively agree the point of the view that government must ensure that their major cities receive the financial support which they need in order to thrive because a nation’s cultural traditions are preserved and generated primarily in these cities.


Firstly, a nation’s cultural traditions can strengthen its status and dignity in the complicated world and thus ensure the stability of the nation itself. In modern world, there are more and more changing situations and circumstances to affect our country everyday. Such as the war leading by some authority countries for some private purposes and the economical incidents, the political changing and so on. In order to keep development and avoid to be defeated by other countries in this environment, we must make ourselves consolidation in our internal nation. And consequently, the nation’s cultural traditions change into the crucial role to be properly and effectively relied. Because the cultural traditions is a nation’s soul and focus to guide the country forward correctly and gradually. We can make it sure from this example. After the World War Two, Japan had become a very weak country just like a person who just got an illness and need time to recover. However, Japanese gave a surprise to all over the world, a curious outcome. They only took about thirty years to make their country thrive, even over the super big country——American on some technological aspects. And naturally, they can get the dignity and esteem from the world. The secret weapon is their cultural tradition that can make their nation consolidation more high than before. And therefore, we can get to know that a nation’s cultural traditions can let the country be more strength than ever in the global countries.


Secondly, a nation’s cultural traditions can also benefit their economics. Nation’s cultural traditions are the basis of the industry and agriculture. The four big inventions are well known by every elementary student after they studied the history. And the constructive skill of paper is the primitive way for making paper. And our modern social paper companies still use this way or the modified way on this basis. And the gun powder、printing skill and compass which are the crucial inventions making significance to our country and even all over the world. You can imagine how our country and the world would change into if our  nation’s cultural traditions can not preserve and generate.


Thirdly, a nation’s traditions can also take advantages to our educations. In a nation that contain the character of endeavor, their students would not be lazy because they know that laziness is a wrong thing. And their parents and teachers teach them to study hard for their future and dreams. So, the same as their grandfather and grandmother teach their parents because this is a nation’s tradition already come into their blood and soul. According these traditions, our country students get many honors in the world and make our national educational development thrive.


To sum, we can conclude that government must place more emphasis on the major cities which contain a nation’s cultural traditions can benefit all spheres of our country.
