Issue 132 学科之间的关系
“The university community consists of three different worlds—the sciences, the humanities, and the social sciences. Because each world operates on its own assumptions and has its own special habits of thinking, rarely is there meaningful interaction among the sciences, the humanities, and the social sciences.”


1. Undoubtedly, three different worlds of the sciences, the humanities, and the social science in the university community have their own unique prospects. The humanities is a theory system about human’s academic, which investigates on some problems of human being, such as the sense of existence about human being, human’s ingrain, human’s worth, human’s development, and also research some relationship between the human and nature and society. The social science is a doctrine about the society of human being, which investigates and explores the principle on the advancement of human’s society by research on some social phenomena of economic, political, spiritual behaviors. The sciences is a academic system about natural principle, such as chemistry, mathematics, physics and so forth. Form the three different conceptions, we are aware that every body has its own particular domain for us to learn and investigate in the university community.

2. Although each of three different academic system has its own different domain to research, they have influences on each other. First of all, the development of sciences, especially for some basic principles of sciences, can be applied in the other domains as a useful tool. For instance, mathematics, can be used to analyze the social data from the social survey, which give researchers in social sciences some gist to explore the social principles; physics and astronomy, which can help people investigate human’s origin, and be aware of human’s impersonal existence. Secondly, social sciences can deal with the relationship in the society in a better way, urge people’s comprehension for each other in a society, improve people’s living conditions, make our world better by using the productions of the other two sciences and provide them better conditions and more proper motives. Lastly, the studies of humanities can guarantee the sciences and the social sciences in a normal and proper development, establish some righteous standards, and prevent them from going astray.

3. And more, there are more and more interdisciplinary majors among the sciences, the humanities and the social sciences in the university community. For example, the environmental science, firstly, is a academic science, which apply some chemical principles to treat some wastewater, deleterious gas and rubbish. Meanwhile, it is also a human science, which needs impart people the importance of the earth, improve human’s idea about environment of earth, urge people to cherish their earth, and protect the human’s environment.

大学包括了三个不同的领域科学、人文学科以及社会学科。因为每一个领域都根据自己的前提运转，每一个领域都有自己独特的思维习惯，所以在自然科学、人文科学和社会科学之间几乎是不存在有意义的交互的

第一段大部分描述了3个学科的定义, 感觉有点blah,blah, 基本上没有提出自己明确的观点, 这样比较危险. 我觉得给定义是一件很危险的事情,吃力不讨好.

最后一段,好像渐渐偏离主题, 开始说教.  可能是限时来不及写了?

我觉得这个论题有个关键前提是:the university community , 但是作者通篇里面几乎没有提及, 只有第三段的开始略略的说了一下.

我看了写范文，有些都是一段开头，一段结尾，然后再三段论呀，增加段落我怕时间不够！

我看的 老外280里面都是一开始立论， 然后分论述， 然后妥协，然后结尾。
