In this argument, the author advocates by comparing the two real estate firms that one should use Adams to sell ones home quickly and at a good price. Yet, the arguer is problematic for several reasons. Are the two leading real estate firms equal to be compared? Do they have any of the differences that may cause a flaw in making this conclusion? Are there any other factors, which are more sufficient, should be considered before the owner sells his home?
The major problem with this argument is that the two firms are not similar enough to justify the analogical deduction. The arguer misused the data provided because Adams and Fitch are totally two different firms, not only in their sizes but also in their workers who made up the main groups selling the houses in the town. Adams has 40 full-time sellers while Fitch has 25; this makes it reasonable that Adams’ revenue was twice as high as that of Fitch, which supported the author’s conclusion as the main reason in the argument. The author should also consider the factor that full-time sellers in Adams require much more payments than those part-time sellers in Fitch, which may cause the home owner to pay more to the Adams Realty and thus, the total sum of money that owners got from selling their homes may reduce considerably by paying this large amount of salary fees.
Common sense tells us that the example the arguer have given to conclude that homes listed with Adams sell faster is not based on a scientific comparison. Unless the time and homes are equal in qualification, one could compare the time on selling homes in the two firms and drew the conclusion that Adams can sell home quickly. Things may change rapidly during the past ten years, and homes will sell much more easily along with economic development and the growing request for more homes. Meanwhile, that two houses the arguer sold are probably different in many factors such as their locations, sizes and sale prices.
Before I come to my conclusion, I am wondering whether there’s some other real estate firms besides Adam and Fitch which may sell homes quickly and at a good price albeit they are not so large in size. Also the homeowners should not make the same mistake of the arguer who only pays attention to the selling prices but omitted the final money we can get after paying all of the fees. Also we should consider the service along with safety.
As it stands, the argument is not persuasive because of the flaw in comparing the two different samples. The arguer needs more investigation to narrow down and locate the reason that will sufficiently support the conclusion and should search for some other possibilities that are more reasonable to draw the conclusion.

The following was posted on an Internet real estate discussion site--
Of the two leading real estate firms in
our town-Adams Realty and Fitch Realty-Adams is clearly superior. Adams has 40 real estate agents. In contrast, Fitch
has 25, many of whom work only part-time. Moreover, Adams' revenue last year was twice as high as that of Fitch,
and included home sales that averaged$168,000,compared to Fitch's $144,000.Homes listed with Adams sell
much faster as well: ten years ago, I listed my home with Fitch and it took more than four months to sell; last
year, when I sold another home, I listed it with Adams, and it took only one month. Thus, if you want to sell your
home quickly and at a good price, you should use Adams.
