Doctoral research assistant positions (or excellent post-doctoral fellows) are available immediately in Ultrasound and Optical Imaging Laboratory at Bioengineering Department of University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). UTA is located at the center of the Dallas-and-Fort-Worth metropolitan area, which is a very convenient and exciting city to live and work in USA. Our projects will focus on the development of innovative cancer imaging and treatment technologies involved in optical and ultrasound methods. We are looking for individuals to fill positions at the level of research assistant or post-doctor who are self-motivated and specialized in any of the following fields: (1) Instrumentation (previous experience in optical fluorescence and/or ultrasound techniques will be a plus) (2) Optical and ultrasound imaging contrast agent development (such as synthesis of nano- or micro-particles, microbubbles, biochemical labeling, molecular targeting…) (3) Imaging algorithm development (such as image reconstruction, numerical simulation, Matlab skills…) (4) In vivo pre-clinical imaging. Potential candidates in Biomedical Engineering (or Bioengineering), Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, Biochemistry, Medicine or other related fields are encouraged to apply via an email (baohong@uta.edu) with a copy of CV.
