61"High-profile awards such as the Nobel Prize are actually damaging to society because they suggest that only a few people deserve such recognition."

Do high-profile awards such as the Nobel Prize damage to society? The speaker claims so, as he implies that such awards are unfair to those who also deserve recognition yet are excluded by the rewards. I can not agree with the speaker, for three reason.

First of all, the justice and fairness of such high-profile awards is undoubted. Because the people who evaluate the candidates are all esteemed authorities and experts in a certain realm, also the process of judgment adheres to strict and serious discussion and review. As a result, usually the people who are awarded prizes are outstanding individuals who has been acknowledged by his companies and whose accomplishment has contributed a lot to the mankind or enlarge our knowledge of the world. For example, the highest international award is probably the Nobel Prize, awarded each year, brings the highest reputation to the most excellent scientists or writers for their great achievement in physics, biology and medicine, chemistry, literation, as well as for people who devote to the peace of the world.  Some detractors may argue that how they decide who really deserve the price since there are so many contributors around the world. Well, the list of candidates was chosen and investigated carefully by the authoritative, then the list of winners were evaluated and discussed many times. Also on the reward ceremony, each prizewinner's achievement this year and why they deserve the honor will be introduced to the world in details. Therefore, the prizewinners  should be those who can go through the examination of the whole world. In short, such high-profile awards benefit the society for they rewarded those who actually merit the respect and reputation.

Secondly, although the number of people being awarded is limited, it does not amount to the neglection of those who are not yet awarded. Because of the constrain of environment or personal talents, most people are ordinary people who may never be a millionaire or a genius of something. However, the awards tell us that if we work hard and be willing to assist others, we will be rewarded someday. They inform us of the value of personal endeavor and a passion for one's career. Therefore, only those who do not appreciate their work and always complain about his fortune will hold the opinion that the awards treat them unfairly.

Last but not least, the finite number of prizemen inspires others to pursue their careers or interests whole-heartedly. Even though most people are not capable of winning a high-profile prize, they understand the concept that only through consistent effort can they get ahead in life and obtain the respect and favor from people around. However, it is no good to treat winning prize as the only objective in life and be obsessed with fame, which is harmful for both the individual and the society.

In conclusion, the high-profile award treats each individual fairly, provided that he merits it. Also if we regard the awards as a motive and impetus to work hard instead of a way to obtain fame and fortune, the awards actually benefit the society rather than undermine it, for they propagate the worthiness of passion for one's life and career.

看来我们对于题目的理解有分歧,我对“they suggest that only a few people deserve such recognition"的理解是只有很少的人配得上这样的荣誉,而你的理解是 “implies that such awards are unfair to those who also deserve recognition yet are excluded by the rewards“

First of all, the justice and fairness of such high-profile awards is undoubted不公平的时候也有吧. Because the 不要thepeople who evaluate the candidates are all esteemed authorities and experts in a certain realm, also the process of judgment adheres to strict and serious discussion and review. As a result, usually the people who are awarded prizes are outstanding individuals who has been acknowledged by his companies and whose accomplishment has contributed a lot to the mankind or enlarge our knowledge of the world单复数. For example, the highest international award is probablyprobably is the Nobel Prize, awarded each year, brings the highest reputation to the most excellent scientists or writers for their great achievement in physics, biology and medicine, chemistry, literation, as well as forto, 与to scientists, writers对应 people who devote to the peace of the world.

However, the awards tell us that if we work hard and be willing to assist others, we will be rewarded someday真的吗?.

However, it is no good to treat winning prize as the only objective in life and be obsessed with fame, which is harmful for both the individual and the society.为什么会whole-heartedly, prize有这么大的作用吗?如果有可能需要证明。最后一句追求fame对社会和个人有害,有什么害呀

In conclusion, the high-profile award treats each individual fairly, provided that he merits it. Also if we regard the awards as a motive and impetus to work hard instead of a way to obtain fame and fortune, the awards actually benefit the society rather than undermine it, for they propagate the worthiness of passion for one's life and career这个结论是怎么又文中得出的?.

总的来说,由于我们对文章的理解不同所以思路就不同,但总的来说有些观点有些绝对就显得逻辑性不强
