The speaker asserts that the appearance and behavior of people can reflect a society's idea and values. I strongly agree with the speaker. Moreover, society's idea and value differ according to different district and various religions.

The primary reason why I agree with the speaker is that a society's value and idea are composed of most people's ideas and values in the society and this value to a large extent can be revealed by people's appearance and behaviors. For example, during the World War II, most Germans think the war advanced by Hitler in Europe is ethically right and they support the Nazi leader Hitler. As a result, soldiers wear the uniforms bearing Nazi's badge, ordinary people provide food and money for Nazi's soldiers and firmly believe that Germans are superior to other nations. For another instance, in America before civil war, when it is legal to buy and sell slaves, people tend to regard slaves as goods which amount to a quantity of money. As a result, owners of slaves regard slaves humble and treat them as animals that work for them. Nowadays, we all know that the grievous crime Nazi has brought to the world and that exchanging slaves with money is illegal and inhumane. The chancellor of German knees down before the monument of the victim Jews during the war for the misery Nazi has brought to them. We respect the right of the black and regard them equals to ourselves. After all, the value and idea of a society change with the time flying.

More over, Society's values and ideas differ according to factors such as area difference and religion varieties. In the first place, in different district, people present different appearance and behaviors, thus differ in their values and ideas. Take China for example, Chinese people is composed of 56 peoples and many of them has their own customs and clothing. The minority people often feature their own appearance, rituals and customs. For example, in the province of Yunnan in the South of China, if a young man loves girl, he gives her his sword standing for love. If the girl loves the man, she accepts the sword and they can marry each other. This behavior only happens in Yunnan and reflects ideas and value in the district.

On the other hand, some religious elements are also involved in determining the society's value and idea. In the mid-east, where people believe in Islam, most people wear a kind of coif as a symbol of followers of Islam. Each year on a particular day, these followers gather at Mekka to hold a large-scale religious ceremony. In India, people who believe in Buddha do not eat meat, they regard eating meat as a blasphemy to Buddha. Thus, we conclude that religion is a critical fact differentiating various society's values and ideas.

In the final analysis, the value and ideas of a society are reflected by people's appearance and behaviors. And, they change by the time. More over, different value and ideas of a society often result from different areas and different religions.
