112 Some educational system emphasize the development of students’ capacity for reasoning and logical thinking, but students would benefit more from an education that also taught them to explore their own emotions.

For decades, education system has put emphasis on certain aspects of intelligence such as reasoning and logical thinking. But nowadays, emotional intelligence, often referred to as EQ, is considered also very important. So, if education system could teach students reasoning and logical thinking, as well as teach them to explore their own emotions, students would definitely benefit more than being cultivated only by the former.

Teaching students to reason and think logically prepares them well both for learning and life. In terms of learning, reason and think are the fundamental skills in acquiring knowledge. Learning without these two skills is just like cooking without tools. Even if they could get knowledge, they are just passive acceptors. Contrarily, reason and logical thinking enable students to understand complex knowledge, find relations between different things and be active in their way of learning.
In terms of life, reasoning and logical thinking are two “life skills”, which are powerful both in work and daily life. Schools prepare students for future life not only by job-related knowledge and but even more by the methods to learn knowledge, with reasoning and thinking among them. And these two skills are important for them in area such as grasping new technology and solve problems.

Education systems, which realize the above importance of reasoning and logical thinking, as well as the vital role emotions play, could cultivate out all-round students. EQ by definition consists of four basic capabilities: self-awareness; self-management; social awareness; and social skills. Even though school may not be competent in teaching all the four parts of EQ, after all it is more difficult than teaching ordinary lessens, but the most important thing is by teaching students to explore their own emotions, students are leaded into this education area and have the freedom to explore it by themselves. And research shows it can be a far better predictor of life success than IQ. Therefore, with the effort of school to cultivate and enhance students’ emotional intelligence, students may be more success in the future.

Students benefit more under an education system which could offer them not only reasoning and logical thinking education but also emotional education, than an education system that only emphasizing the former. Such kind of comprehensive education system is good for the full development of students and may bring up more successful generations.

你在文中说EQ包括self-awareness; self-management; social awareness; and social skills，这里可以拿出一两个来单独讨论。注意body2应该把重点放在explore one's emotion对学生的益处。虽然文中说了And research shows it can be a far better predictor of life success than IQ. 这句似乎太概括了，you should show some details, and show how they can make students success in the future.
