Should a nation require all its students to study the same national curriculum before they enter college? I agree this argument, and to some extent, the schools in different parts of the nation can offer some courses according to their own features.

First of all, with requirement of all students to study the same national curriculum, the nation can determine the national curriculum so that all schools in different parts offer the same national curriculum. It is likely that some areas that lack enough money to write and design their own curriculum and textbooks. In other words, this kind of areas does not have enough money for education. In this case, if the nation provides the same curriculum and textbooks, these areas may benefit from the policy. Furthermore, it is fair for all the students in different cities or towns that they receive the same curriculum. For example, a student in an advanced city may have better education according to his environment; on the contrary, a student in a poor village may receive poorer education than the former student. In this case, if the nation require the same curriculum, the two students in different areas, at least, are fair to have the same curriculum. In addition, with requirement of the same national curriculum, the nation can finance the less advanced areas and send teachers to help the local education. However, it is difficult for the nation to do so when different areas have different curriculum and offer different standard of education. Therefore, it is beneficial and fair for all schools in different parts of the nation to provide the same national curriculum.

Furthermore, for students the same national curriculum makes it convenient and beneficial. It is possible that a student may transfer his school before enter college. For instance, a family has to move to another city and the student should transfer to another school. Otherwise, it is likely that a student, who do not have the national curriculum, do not want to go to college and are willing to look for a job in an advanced city, he may find it difficult for him to get a job due to different curriculum. Because what he has learnt is not enough to meet the profession's demand. Thus, students may attain convenience and benefit from the same national curriculum.

Admittedly, by offering the same national curriculum schools in different parts of the nation can also provide some curriculum according the local culture and their own features.
