Issue 1:We usually learn much more from people whose views we share than from people whose views contradict our own; disagreement can cause stress and inhibit learning.
------正文------
When it comes to whether we usually get more information from similar ideas than those different ones, one man's meat is another man's poison, just as the saying goes. But in my point of view, I would like to frown upon the title statement, because I believe those distinct perspectives are filled with novel information which would catalyze comprehensive consideration to come to a better conclusion. The reasons for my propensity are as follows.

To begin with, those unexpected views can open our mind and help us to establish a complete recognition. If people presenting such views come from the same school in the same direction, due to the familiarity with pertinent professional knowledge, these views tend to be the clues accounting for something undiscovered but important. Even if people from other education backgrounds or different academic fields, they will provide suggestions from relevant fields. In addition, such kind of disagreements can even avoid useless effort. A concrete example that accompanies this point is that several years ago in Jilin University, there was a mathematical dissertation with perfect deduction, but actually the chemical equations studied in it does not exist. On the contrary, those who share the same views inevitably offer slim supplement. Therefore, this striking factor confirms a sound idea that with the help of people whose views contradict ours, we could take the perspective of things.

What is also worth noticing is a wealth of information contained in a disagreement. In other words, we can increase the amount of our information, because a disagreement tends to depend on a quite different accumulation of knowledge from ours. Needless to mention those different voices from other majors, even the disagreement cited by individuals in the same field may be based on diverse facts or diverse reasoning which will also lend us some illumination.

However, a majority of people may stand on a very different ground and they hold the idea that those individuals who share the perspectives invariably tend to have the similar background knowledge or analogous experience, so that they are more likely to communicate and then acquire more knowledge from each other. Admittedly, it is possible that people cannot further the discussion on some unrelated or even opposite ideas and it is also likely that there exist completely personal ideas. As far as this aspect concerned, agreement has its own merits. But, after balancing the all the possibilities with thoroughness and care, I can do nothing but to stick to my previous preference.

Simply put, all the analysis presented above leads me to conclude that with a positive attitude, disagreement may bring about more opinions and knowledge as well, which will hoist learning.
