The Advanced Biophotonics Imaging Laboratory

The Advanced Biophotonics Imaging Laboratory (ABI Lab) of the CUHK Department of Biomedical Engineering invites applicants to fill multiple positions of full-time Post-doctoral/ ResearchAssociate/ Research Assistant.

The appointees will assist faculty members of the ABI Lab to conduct research in areas related to robotics, micro/nanofabrication, biosensor, computational imaging, and AI for medical imaging. The responsibilities of the appointees include researching and developing softmedical robotics, wearable/implantable sensors,endomicroscopy system, deep learning methods,and any other duties as assigned.

Applicants should have a PhD degree (for Post-doctoral Fellow/Research Associate positions) or a master/bachelor’s degree (for Research Assistant positions) in electronic engineering, mechanical engineering,computer science, material science, physics/optics, or other related disciplines.The ideal candidates should have genuine interest in research and intellectual curiosity. They should possess an excellent command of verbal and writtenEnglish, and proficiency in MATLAB, COMSOL,ZEMAX, SolidWorks, or programming softwaresuch as C++/Python/OpenCV. Related prior research experience ispreferred, with knowledge about soft robotics, biosensors, microfluidics, optical imaging/microscopy, and machine learning being an advantage.

Appointment will be made on contract basis for one year commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
