The greatness of individuals can be decided only by those who live after them, not by their contemporaries.

A pot of chrysanthemum placed in front of you will remind you of the outstanding artist namely Van Gogh, whose masterpieces are today invaluable and however believed to be rubbish till years after his death. As a matter of fact, the aesthetic feeling reflected from these milestones contributed great progress to art, but unfortunately this extraordinary and crazy man had to die with pities. With regards to this, I should agree with the speaker for the reasons listed below.

The greatness of an individual lies not only in the deeper research, but more often in a new vision towards an issue. However, cross-dimension change will not possibly be sensed by the people of the contemporaries. Present relatively solid structure of knowledge, fixed ways of thinking and reasoning even the fashions or customs will imprison the people, thus making them unaware of the new. Einstein, the physician respected as the most valuable scientist during the 20th century, also experienced the process of being denied and loneliness. Evolutionary relative theory, in his words, could only be understood by three people in the world. It was only years later did the people begin to realize the greatness and righteous, with the rapid development of Quantum theory and modern computation.

In addition, it is not reasonable to evaluate an individual till more applications and the theories based on his turned out to be significant. A theory should be like a human, born frail and weak and grows up through hardship and practices. A person overcomes difficulties, while at the same time, a newly born theory of an individual should bear the imposing discrimination among the ruling schools and little opportunity it can share. As the saying goes, real gold fears no fire, the theory will finally will verified once it is given the chance to be applied. The example also is involved in relative theory, which was believed to be no value even if truth. Nevertheless, the sound of explosion of the first atom bomb astonishes the people of disrespect and proud. Years after years, still today, we are exploiting the potential energy generated from the theory and judging how great Einstein is still insensible.

Concerning the points, what calls for special attention is that if we cannot promote the progress of one, we should try our best not to be a restrain to him. Imagine, what surprises even terrifies you today may be the millstone in the near future, and the person will thank you for your best support while you didn't say a single word about him. A human being will never be perfect, no matter how well educated, and so is the case of you. Constrained in the old snare, we should give more understanding and support the person possessing the absurd theory.

To sum up, it is not suitable of anyone living in the same era to give the proper comments about how great a man is. Either the lacking of relevant knowledge or the limited chances for estimation serves as a burden to this should-be intelligent person. The greatness is not easy to be understood. If we have no ability to give any aid to him, what we can do is to put our hands on his shoulder and say: "Come on, you can be the one".
